Claims Care Analyst – 1 Year Contract

• Assess claims for benefit entitlement by reviewing all relevant contractual, medical, functional, and occupational documentation in accordance with established routines and certificate provisions; • Efficiently manage an active caseload, ensuring compliance with client service standards, best practice guidelines, KPIs, and turnaround times (TATs); • Conduct thorough documentation of claim analysis and maintain accurate records as per company policies and procedures; • Communicate professionally and empathetically, both in writing and verbally, with stakeholders to provide updates, clarify claim status, and explain decisions; • Perform detailed phone interviews with clients or involved parties to gather information and discuss claim outcomes; • Identify required supporting documents for current and future benefit payments, and follow up diligently to obtain necessary information; • Collaborate with team members, plan sponsors, and other stakeholders to uphold service standards and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment; • Participate actively in departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process optimization opportunities and adapting to changes; • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience; a College diploma (DEC) in a relevant field is preferred;
- Professional designations such as FLHC, FLMI, or ALHC are considered assets;
- Minimum of 1 year experience in insurance claims processing, particularly in life, disability, and critical illness insurance;
- Medical knowledge obtained through claims assessment, underwriting, or experience in a medical or paramedical profession is an asset;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service;
- Strong proficiency in English for communication with customers and colleagues;
- Strong proficiency in French for communication with customers and/or colleagues in Quebec;
- Ability to conduct sensitive phone interviews and convey decisions tactfully;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook) and case management software;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while meeting diverse deadlines;
- Professionalism under pressure, with the ability to manage stressful situations and deliver difficult news empathetically;
- Positive attitude, strong team spirit, and adaptability to organizational changes.

Role Description The Operations Analyst supports three core areas of the business: client operations, resale, and systems administration. Day-to-day, that means managing renewal pipelines, generating quotes, processing orders, maintaining Halo PSA, and maintaining the reports and documentation our teams rely on. This role is a great fit for someone who's highly organized, picks up new tools quickly, and wants broad exposure to how an MSP operates. This position reports directly to the VP, Client Operations. Key Responsibilities - Client Operations - Manage the full client renewal lifecycle: track key dates, coordinate outreach, draft renewal SOWs, and drive documents through to client signature. - Maintain structured notes, follow-up reminders, and process documentation to keep client-facing teams aligned and prepared. - Support time tracking validation and reporting to ensure accuracy for client billing and internal analysis. - Maintain Google Sheets to support forecasting, renewals, monthly invoicing, and operational insights. - Identify and document process improvements within Client Operations, making workflows more repeatable and scalable. - Hardware & Software Resale - Generate accurate hardware and software quotes using distributor portals (Ingram Micro, Pax8, and D&H) and vendor partner programs. - Process purchase orders and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery; proactively update clients and internal stakeholders on order status. - Manage client software license renewals across platforms including Google, Microsoft, and Meraki. - Maintain detailed records of quotes, orders, and vendor agreements in Halo PSA and Google Drive. - Resolve order discrepancies and procurement inquiries efficiently and professionally. - Keep the team equipped with up-to-date product documentation, including vendor details, SKUs, key specs, manufacturer promotions, and end-of-life notices. - Systems Administration & Support - Support ongoing configuration, maintenance, and day-to-day upkeep of Halo PSA. - Help with data review and data pulls from existing tools and support transfer to Halo PSA, ensuring information is accurate, consistent, and readily available to support reporting and decision-making.
