Role Description The Investigations Specialist conducts investigations using databases to locate individuals and businesses for service of process. Communicate investigation findings to co-workers and customers to advise on the next steps of an order. This role is as part of the Investigations Team to achieve daily goals in a fast-paced office environment. This position is remote but located in Michigan. - Conduct investigations to locate individuals and businesses by reviewing findings for the subject of service of process and cross referencing previous aspects of an order. - Communicate findings to customers and co-workers as needed. - Answer investigations related phone calls and emails. - Update procedural documents and review existing procedures. Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED and at least 6 months of related experience required. - Experience in an office environment and/or customer facing position preferred. - Ability to work remotely with strong work ethic. - Reliable with ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality with privileged information. - Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate with peers. - Openness to learning new things and responding positively to feedback. - Technical savvy, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems. Role Description The Risk Operations team is responsible for mitigating fraud and credit losses for GoDaddy Payments. We conduct high-risk investigations into merchant accounts flagged for suspicious activity, identify fraud trends, and work to ensure our platform is safe for our customers. - Work in a fast-paced queue environment to review high-risk transactions and account activity. - Mitigate risk and fraud exposure through detailed merchant investigations by collecting and analyzing business/account information and documentation. - Identify and flag developing fraud and risk trends. - Provide feedback and solutions to help improve our risk workflows and to support our merchants with a seamless, world-class experience. - Maintain production and quality operational targets. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in the fraud or risk industry, including work in queue-based or support environments. - Strong customer-focused outlook with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams. - Ability to navigate ambiguity, take initiative with minimal direction, and proactively mitigate potential issues and barriers. - Strong willingness to learn and continuously expand knowledge in fraud and risk. - Availability to work weekends and holidays within the PT time zone (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM PT). • Partner with clients to understand business logic, decision flows, pain points, fraud patterns, data availability, data quality, and desired business outcomes • Translate business challenges into actionable risk and solution requirements • Lead technical discussions with clients’ risk, fraud, AML, and data teams to ensure complete and high-quality data collection • Own data transfer coordination and data quality validation • Conduct data analysis and fraud pattern analysis using strong domain expertise and business judgment • Design, recommend, test, and iterate on detection strategies to improve risk outcomes • Configure DataVisor platform components such as Rules Engine, Decision Flows, Case Management, Knowledge Graph, and BI Dashboards • Deliver tailored solutions that generate strong business value for clients • Partner with the ML Modeling team to develop, tune, and evaluate supervised and unsupervised fraud detection models • Analyze model performance metrics and provide guidance on threshold setting and decisioning strategies • Manage solution delivery projects using project management tools such as Monday.com • Own the creation, maintenance, and reporting of key internal and customer-facing project deliverables • Present project findings, recommendations, and solution outcomes to business and technical stakeholders • Demonstrate configured solutions and articulate business impact clearly and effectively
