Associate Underwriter

Role Description The Associate Underwriter reports to the VP, Underwriting and is responsible for providing underwriters with information necessary to make underwriting and pricing decisions. This position provides support within established process workflows and guidelines that are responsive to marketing, underwriting, retention, and service goals. - Perform data entry, maintain service diaries, manage account clearance, and support renewal templating processes. - Setting up ILF rater with tower schematics and exposure details. - Setting up UW template with exposure & financial information. - Update and maintain transaction logs, account documentation (ensuring accuracy and organized files), and internal information systems. - Support with maintenance of manual submission and transaction logs. - Support with file organization/completeness. - Support underwriters by assembling and processing quotes, binders, policies, endorsements, and billing communications. - Support with data entry into OYYO for new/renewal business for quotes/binders/policies. - Communicate with brokers and agents to gather additional account information and provide updates on account status. - Follow up for missing documentation to facilitate account review and file audits. - Provide general administrative support to underwriters and other internal teams as needed. Qualifications - Minimum of 2 years of experience in the insurance industry or related financial services. - Strong commitment to providing excellent customer service preferred. - Collaborative mindset with adaptability to changing priorities. - Proactive approach to achieving results and supporting team goals. - Ability to quickly learn and navigate various technical platforms. - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. - Professional, analytical, and flexible approach to work. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines. Role Description Responsible for ensuring real estate loan applications are underwritten in accordance with the latest investor and agency guidelines.
