Security Engineer – Application, AI Security
EnableComp
• Serve as the technical implementation bridge between the security policy team and development operations. • Be embedded with development teams, writing code, configuring systems, and implementing security controls across applications, databases, and AI systems. • Bridge security policy and technical execution by translating organizational security requirements into practical, deployable solutions. • Implement secure-by-design practices throughout the software development lifecycle, including code-level remediations and configuration hardening. • Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines. • Perform hands-on technical security assessments including penetration testing and threat modeling.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical field required
- 3+ years in hands-on application security, DevSecOps, or security engineering roles.
- Proven experience building and configuring secure CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Deep proficiency with cloud security in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Strong implementation experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for security tooling.
- Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

Role Description Aptive seeks a Biomedical Technician/Equipment Support Specialist with medical device cybersecurity expertise to serve as a subject matter expert supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM). This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing networked medical devices and clinical systems, supporting efforts to improve medical device cybersecurity, reliability, and compliance across VA healthcare environments. The selected candidate will support the maintenance and integration of computer-based medical equipment, including devices connected to hospital networks and clinical information systems. Responsibilities include: - Troubleshooting connectivity and interface issues - Supporting vulnerability and patch management efforts - Assisting with inventory accuracy for networked medical equipment - Helping ensure systems align with cybersecurity requirements The role may involve working with networking protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, VLAN configuration, HL7, and DICOM, and supporting medical device security tools, documentation, and operational processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting medical equipment in a healthcare setting, combined with strong knowledge of IT concepts such as network security, antivirus tools, patching, and system troubleshooting.
