• Assist the Systems Engineering and Sales Departments in developing technical Solutions that meet customer requirements. • Maintain current knowledge of the equipment and technologies he/she supports by attending training provided by the manufacturer. • The ability to read and understand RFPs, technical drawings, and technical requirements for IT-focused projects. • A good methodical approach to tasks, ability, and interests to learn new technologies. • Will be required to continue to learn new physical security solutions (Video surveillance and access control) and as a plus an understanding of electrical limitations with respect to physical security. • Self-motivated, able to meet deadlines and maintain quality of work under pressure.

• Prepare estimates for commercial security/alarm projects. • Evaluation of bid documents. • Perform accurate takeoffs. • Prepare Bid Sheets and questions. • Write professional proposals. • Interact with project managers to gather relevant information in order to provide firm bids for prospective jobs. • Maintain current, accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written materials, sales brochures, price lists, etc. • Maintain the company’s high standard of quality and professionalism with regard to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance. • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign.

Wachter is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team in our Nationwide Service & Projects department located in our Lowell, AR office. (We are open to remote candidates with the right experience.) This role involves providing daily support for fire and burglar alarms, as well as some access control and paging/voice communication support. • Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire alarm systems infrastructure. • Running low-voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit work. • Installing cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct. • Conducting tests to ensure all newly installed cable systems and component devices are operational. • Troubleshooting issues with cable networks and fire alarm panels. • Ensuring all installations and repairs comply with NFPA standards, including NFPA 70 and 72. • Collaborating with team members on pre-installation design and planning. • Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all work performed. • Adhering to all required project safety requirements as set forth by Wachter, our customers, or OSHA.
