Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of systems administration experience, including supervisory or team lead experience
- Experience with one or more of the following: Salesforce, AWS, Tableau, Scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and integrated systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience supporting Customer Experience (CX) or service improvement initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to support after-hours operational needs in a 24/7 environment
- U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain required clearance

Role Description We are seeking an experienced WSS Engineer / Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) to support, maintain, and optimize the infrastructure that powers our Epic ecosystem. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of Epic applications across our healthcare organization. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset to support clinical operations and enterprise IT initiatives. Key Responsibilities - Epic System Installation, Configuration & Maintenance - Install, configure, and maintain Epic server components including Hyperspace, Interconnect, web servers, and related middleware. - Manage Chronicles, Cache/IRIS configurations, and system-level dependencies. - Apply patches, upgrades, hotfixes, and coordinate release deployments across environments. - Maintain documentation for system builds, configurations, and operational procedures. - Performance Monitoring & Optimization - Monitor Epic server and application performance (CPU, memory, disk I/O, network throughput). - Tune system parameters to improve stability, responsiveness, and uptime. - Troubleshoot performance issues, system failures, and infrastructure bottlenecks. - Partner with application teams to diagnose and resolve end-to-end performance concerns. - Epic Environment Management - Administer and support all Epic environments (PRD, TST, DEV, POC, TRN). - Coordinate environment refreshes, migrations, and system cloning activities. - Ensure proper environment isolation, naming conventions, and configuration consistency. - Support new module implementations and infrastructure readiness for Epic upgrades. - Security, Compliance & Risk Management - Implement Epic system security best practices including authentication, certificates, firewall rules, and access controls. - Ensure compliance with HIPAA, organizational policies, and audit requirements. - Monitor and manage audit logs, encryption standards, and privileged access. - Participate in security assessments, risk reviews, and remediation planning. - Collaboration, Support & Operations - Work closely with Epic application teams, network, storage, virtualization, and security teams. - Provide operational support for Epic-related incidents, service requests, and change management. - Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support as needed. - Collaborate with vendors and Epic technical support to resolve complex issues.
