Role Description Lime is hiring an Accounting Manager to join our EMEA Finance team! In this role, you will report into the EMEA Controller, Finance Director. You will be responsible for all aspects of accounting as well as driving data integrity and compliance. You will work side-by-side with the Tax team, the Shared Service Centre team, the US Corporate Accounting team, local financial service providers, and local Operations teams. We are looking for an Accounting professional who is excited about learning the micro-mobility business while building cross-functional relationships to help improve processes so we can continue to grow and scale our operations. This is a remote position in Italy with a preference for candidates residing in Rome and Milan to maintain effective collaboration across teams. What You’ll Do: - Act as the local controller for entities incorporated in Italy, Spain, and Portugal, owning the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of financial records and reporting. - Prepare in-house or coordinate with local service providers to prepare and file statutory financial statements and other accounting-related deliverables. - Play an active role in the statutory audit process, arranging planning meetings, identifying key stakeholders, defining milestones, and managing the overall timeline. - Drive FP&A activities as the primary finance partner for local stakeholders to support forecasting and providing insights into financial performance and key drivers. - Support continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting and reporting processes across regions. Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting and/or professional accounting qualification ACCA/CPA. - 6+ years of experience in accounting/finance, including experience as a local controller or similar leadership role. - Knowledge of Italian GAAPs and ability to apply these practically. Exposure to Spanish, Portuguese GAAP, and US GAAP is a plus. - Hands-on experience with external audits as well as building a strong control environment. - Proven FP&A experience as well as experience owning financials across multiple entities (Italy, Spain, Portugal preferred). - Strong project management skills; ability to effectively organize, prioritize, and manage projects and cross-functional teams. - Excellent business partnering skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with a desire for continuous growth and improvement. - Fluent communication skills in both Italian and English. Preferred Experience - Experience in an EMEA finance context, scale-up, or multinational environment is highly preferred. - Experience with Netsuite, Workiva, Coupa, and other cloud-based ERP solutions is a plus. Role Description This role acts as a key technical accounting authority, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting across BACEN (COSIF) and IFRS frameworks. It exists to interpret complex accounting standards, anticipate regulatory impacts, and translate them into clear guidance that supports business decisions and audit readiness. With a high level of autonomy, the position operates at the intersection of accounting, regulation, and strategy, influencing areas such as financial instruments, revenue recognition, and regulatory reporting. It plays a critical role in maintaining governance, aligning stakeholders (Finance, Risk, Legal, Product), and ensuring consistency and transparency in financial statements for both internal and external audiences.
