• Evaluate, design and implement technology solutions to build and progress technology strategies with a line of business. • Be the main liaison with software vendor(s) for systems utilized by a particular line of business. • Stay abreast of upcoming changes and enhancements in vendor’s software and how those changes will impact the business. • Work with the line of business to design solutions to incorporate software changes and effectively work with business partners to ensure effective implementation. • Implement and maintain new features and capabilities while continuously improving the quality of our technical products and services. • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for your team’s products and services.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Six+ years of engineering or other IT work experience relevant to the position.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Solid understanding and significant experience with modern software development practices, tools, and/or hardware technologies.
- Solid understanding of IT security best practices.
- Expertise in one or more technical and/or functional domains relevant to the position.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex technical solutions.

Role Description As Senior Platform Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize the platform infrastructure that enables high-scale software delivery. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the Developer Experience by creating and improving tools, systems, and processes. You will collaborate closely with teams, providing technical guidance and fostering best practices in automation, security, and scalability. As a senior engineer, you will take ownership of critical platform components and contribute significantly to strategic decisions, ensuring alignment with both business and technical objectives. Responsibilities - Lead the design, implementation, and management of scalable and secure platform infrastructure. - Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automation and fast feedback loops. - Ensure the platform meets high availability, reliability, and performance standards. - Troubleshoot complex platform issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions. - Manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration tools. - Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for scalable resource management. - Lead initiatives to improve DevOps and GitOps practices across the organization. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members. - Propose and execute platform optimization strategies, balancing cost and performance. Qualifications - Backstage framework experience (mandatory) - Advanced proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Go, or Bash). - In-depth expertise in cloud platforms (AWS), including serverless and advanced networking. - Deep understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration with platforms like EKS. - Expert-level experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, NewRelic, etc. - Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. - Proven ability to implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure aligned with best practices. - Strong expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and NoSQL databases. - Extensive experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and GitOps automation practices. - Advanced knowledge of performance tuning, cost optimization, and platform scaling.
