Pharmacy Technician Lead
ExactCare
• Running and compiling multiple daily, weekly and monthly reports under the supervision of the Pharmacist Lead • Providing an exceptional customer service experience each day in a phone-based environment • Answering inbound calls from current patients and serving as an ExactCare Pharmacy expert to resolve their questions • Placing outbound calls to patients to create, maintain or update their medication • Making outbound calls to patients to offer MTM comprehensive medication reviews and scheduling or connecting patients to clinical pharmacists for comprehensive medication reviews or clinical education • Making outbound calls to assess nonadherence, identifying barriers to adherence, and providing adherence education/contacting providers when needed • Screening inbound phone calls and voicemail messages to determine appropriate action and escalating calls as needed • Maintaining patient records with strong attention to detail and confidentiality • Balancing various tasks/responsibilities and with minimal supervision • Performing in a high volume, fast paced environment to support ExactCare’s nationwide patient base
Job Requirements
- High school diploma /GED
- Certified with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA)
- Must maintain a pharmacy technician registration with State Board of Pharmacy
- Prior experience in a phone-based pharmacy setting
- Experience in a patient care environment
- Prior Managed Care or MTM experience
- Ability to work independently
- Self-motivated and goal oriented
- Comfortable working in a phone-based environment
- Adaptability to evolving organizational changes and growing healthcare sector
- Exceptional customer service skills: servicing doctor’s office, pharmacist, and patient needs over the phone
- Drug knowledge appropriate for a pharmacy technician
- Pharmacy billing knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
- Compiling, organizing, and merging large data sets, utilizing formulas and Pivot Tables to summarize data
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Passion to help people and enrich their lives
- Ability to overcome objections
- Ability to think critically and document pertinent details in a world-class manner that is compliant with state and federal regulations
- Exceptional communication skills and experience working in a team
- Ability to present a warm, friendly, and empathetic atmosphere for patients by using active listening techniques
