Finance & Accounting Intern

SS&C Technologies

• Support an active system migration by downloading, organizing, and loading financial and accounting data from our legacy system into the new platform • Update and maintain accounting files, schedules, and reconciliations in Excel • Validate data accuracy, identify discrepancies between systems, and help resolve them • Help document new processes, workflows, and data mappings • Assist with month-end close activities as needed (reconciliations, schedule updates, supporting documentation) • Organize and digitize supporting documentation for audit and internal use • Help maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting templates in Excel • Support recurring reporting cycles by gathering, refreshing, and quality-checking data • Assist with ad-hoc analysis projects as they arise • Build familiarity with how a SaaS Finance organization operates day to day

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong academic record (3.3+ GPA preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfortable with formulas, pivot tables, and working with large data sets
  • Detail-oriented and accurate, especially when handling financial data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Self-motivated, curious, and able to manage repetitive or detail-heavy work without losing accuracy
  • Comfortable asking questions and adapting as priorities shift
  • Nice to have: Exposure to Workday, Adaptive Planning, Tableau, or any ERP/data tools
