• Lead multiple accounts supported by a team of staff. • Ensure all staff assigned to account are supported and work is monitored for timeliness and quality. • Work closely with the Sr. Controller to assess the client’s accounting and staffing needs. • Perform month-end accrual accounting entries, close the books, and attend client meetings as necessary. • Lead and mentor the accounting team for assigned clients, motivating them to provide exceptional service. • Offer timely coaching and conduct performance reviews to help staff succeed and grow professionally. • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and development, helping team members build skills and grow within their roles. • Communicates real-time, constructive feedback to staff in a professional manner. • Complete full file closures for staff who have not been trained on the closing process. • Oversees and ensures the quality of all files handled by team members. • Participate in the implementation of new processes or technologies. • Assist with 1099 prelim and final reviews when needed. • Perform additional responsibilities or tasks as required by management or as needed to support team and client needs.
Job Requirements
- 5 years of relevant accounting experience in the $5M to $25M space
- One year within a client services environment or a similar field
- Ability to coach employees and provide constructive, timely feedback
- Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and tax regulations
- Exhibits emotional intelligence when managing others and clients
- Ability to acclimate to multiple personalities and management styles
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Demonstrated experience with financial systems and data query tools
- Self-starter, displaying confidence in one’s ability and able to work independently, with minimal direction
- Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-client dynamic environment
- Demonstrated ability to keep organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Role Description The A/R Specialist will be responsible for the collection of invoices billed due from our direct customers and leasing company partners, reconciliation of customer accounts, resolution of customer disputes, and application of payments to customer accounts. • Support month-end close activities for lease accounting, including reconciliations, journal entries, capitalization schedules, and related analysis. • Review new lease agreements and assist with lease classification determinations in accordance with ASC 842. • Maintain and update lease accounting records within ProLease, with a primary focus on real estate leases. • Prepare and maintain lease amortization schedules, roll forwards, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. • Partner closely with Real Estate, Equipment, and other internal stakeholders to proactively identify, review, and account for lease activity. • Support operating lease accounting processes, with exposure to finance leases and embedded leases as needed. • Use Oracle and Excel to research, analyze, reconcile, and support lease accounting activity. • Assist with process improvement initiatives as the team continues to stabilize and optimize post-Oracle conversion processes. • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure lease-related balance sheet accounts are properly supported. • Collaborate with other members of the lease accounting team to manage deadlines, resolve issues, and support accurate financial reporting. • Communicate effectively with internal partners and provide accounting support with a customer-service mindset. • Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned.
