Role Description The Cyber & Technology Risk Underwriting Associate supports the day‑to‑day underwriting of both admitted and non‑admitted Cyber and Technology Errors & Omissions risks, including HSB‑rated cyber products. This role works closely with the Cyber & Tech Risk Underwriting Lead and internal partners to support new business, renewals, and portfolio management while ensuring adherence to underwriting guidelines and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities - Support the underwriting lifecycle for new business, renewals, and endorsements across cyber and technology risk products - Prepare underwriting and rating analyses for assigned accounts - Quote, bind, and issue policies, including interim policy changes throughout the policy term - Review renewals and new business submissions prior to issuance - Assess and price risks in accordance with underwriting guidelines and assigned authority levels - Appropriately refer accounts outside of authority - Collaborate with brokers, agents, client companies, and internal stakeholders - Support the execution of underwriting objectives and assist with product, coverage, and rate initiatives - Promote cyber underwriting capabilities and continue to develop technical underwriting expertise - Ensure audit compliance and adherence to underwriting standards and guidelines Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred - Three or more years of related experience as an Underwriting Assistant, Underwriting Support professional, or similar role - Experience with Cyber, Technology E&O, or Management Liability risks (insurance carrier or consulting environment preferred) Requirements - The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations, including California. - The salary range for this position is $70,300 - $103,100, plus opportunity for company bonus. - In addition, the company provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). - The salary estimate displayed represents the typical salary range of candidates hired. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
