Job Description

Senior UX Researcher

StackAdapt

Role Description Lead research strategy and execution across 3–4 product teams, running mixed-method studies (qualitative & quantitative) to tackle complex problem spaces. - Frame and scope ambiguous research problems, translating complex business questions into clear research plans with defined objectives and expected outcomes. - Go beyond delivering reports by facilitating workshops (e.g. ideation, solutioning) that translate validated findings into prioritized product requirements and tangible design solutions. - Act as a strategic partner to Product and Design stakeholders by proactively identifying research opportunities, challenging assumptions and representing the user perspective in trade-off discussions. - Contribute to product roadmaps by ensuring research findings shape both immediate development cycles and longer-term planning. - Build and maintain resources that enable stakeholders to run quality research independently; consult on and provide feedback on stakeholder-led research plans. - Identify and implement improvements to UXR tools and processes, including leveraging AI to create repeatable, scalable workflows that raise the quality and efficiency of research across the product org. - Collaborate with research-adjacent teams (e.g. Product Analytics, Product Marketing) to synthesize insights and avoid redundant work. Qualifications - 4–7 years of applied UX research experience, with a portfolio demonstrating research-informed decision-making and the ability to extract actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data in complex technology spaces. - Proficiency across a broad range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, with experience running mixed-method studies and knowing when to apply each approach. - Hands-on experience integrating AI tools into your research workflow, whether for synthesis, analysis, recruiting, or other stages of the research process. - Experience operating with autonomy across multiple product teams or squads and managing 1–3 concurrent studies with varying timelines and support models. - Excellent communication skills with a track record of tailoring insights and recommendations for diverse audiences, from product development teams to executive leadership. - Experience facilitating workshops (e.g. ideation, co-creation) and actively driving research findings into product decisions (not just awareness). - Demonstrated ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners and coach them on research best practices and study design. - Familiarity with digital advertising, data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), and evolving industry trends such as cookieless targeting or AI-driven optimization. - Experience conducting UX research on AI-powered features or products (with an understanding of the unique challenges this entails) is a strong asset. Benefits - Highly competitive salary. - Retirement/401K/Pension Savings globally. - Competitive Paid time off packages including birthday's off! - Access to a comprehensive mental health care program. - Health benefits from day one of employment. - Work from home reimbursements. - Optional global WeWork membership for those who want a change from their home office and hubs in London and Toronto. - Robust training and onboarding program. - Coverage and support of personal development initiatives (conferences, courses, books etc). - Access to StackAdapt programmatic courses and certifications to support continuous learning. - An awesome parental leave program. - A friendly, welcoming, and supportive culture. - Our social and team events!
