Epic Ambulatory Analyst Location: San Mateo, California Contract Job Description: CTG is seeking to fill an Epic Ambulatory Analyst position for our client. Location: Remote, travel up to 3 days a month; client location: San Mateo, CA Duration: 4-6 months Duties: - Analyze, design, configure, test, and implement Epic Ambulatory solutions aligned with organizational and clinical requirements - Collaborate with clinicians, providers, and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective system functionality - Support the design and optimization of outpatient/ambulatory workflows to enhance patient care delivery and operational efficiency - Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement scalable, sustainable solutions - Support system upgrades, enhancements, and special projects, including Epic version updates and new feature rollouts - Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation including workflows, build specifications, and training materials - Participate in integrated testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and provide go-live and post-go-live support - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and Epic best practices - Provide end-user support, issue resolution, and training as needed - Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for usability, efficiency, and data integrity Skills: Strong knowledge of Epic Ambulatory module configuration, workflows, and best practices Understanding of outpatient clinical workflows and healthcare operations Experience with system build, testing methodologies, and production support Knowledge of population health concepts and ambulatory care models Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage both clinical and technical stakeholders Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams Experience: Epic Ambulatory Certification required 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting Epic in ambulatory/outpatient settings Experience working within healthcare systems or hospital environments preferred Healthy Planet Certification preferred Education: - Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
