• Independently leads end-to-end strategy and operational roadmap for one or more KVM-based virtualization products or a broader virtualization platform portfolio, spanning hypervisor core, management APIs, and guest ecosystem. • Defines and drives the virtualization platform value proposition — including performance benchmarks, TCO advantages, and feature differentiation versus VMware, Hyper-V, and other competing hypervisor stacks — to support go-to-market and sales enablement. • Synthesizes market and customer requirements (MRDs) by maintaining deep knowledge of enterprise virtualization use cases: VDI, server consolidation, cloud-native workloads, telco NFV/edge, and HPC virtualization. • Translates KVM/QEMU/libvirt engineering capabilities into customer-facing requirements and product specifications, ensuring technical feasibility and roadmap alignment with upstream open-source communities (e.g., Linux kernel KVM subsystem, QEMU project). • Guides key stakeholders through all lifecycle phases — from hypervisor feature planning and kernel integration to product launch, sustaining engineering, and platform end-of-life planning. • Collaborates across engineering, supply chain, and marketing to optimize product configuration, SKU design, pricing, and go-to-market strategies for virtualization platform offerings. • Acts as a subject matter authority on KVM virtualization architecture, providing technical direction to internal teams, enabling sales and partner technical communities, and representing the product externally with customers and at industry forums.
Product Manager, Flex Platform
Cloud Software GroupEnabling customers to evolve, compete & succeed in data, automation, insight, and collaboration.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for team members on customer pricing, consumption and chargeback models. • Own platform pricing and rate cards as a product capability, including pricing dimensions, units of measure, and rules for shared platform services. • Define platform usage, consumption, and reporting semantics, including metric definitions and billable vs non‑billable constructs. • Architect platform economics and reporting so they enable automated insights, anomaly detection, and forecasting rather than manual analyst workflows. • Define product requirements for platform telemetry and metering to support pricing, reporting, and alignment with Corporate billing and finance systems. • Act as the BU product authority for pricing, reporting, and usage semantics, partnering with Corporate teams to ensure accurate and scalable execution. • Incorporate enterprise customer IT finance models into platform design, including chargeback/showback, shared infrastructure, and central IT funding models. • Serve as a senior counterpart to Product, Engineering, Finance, and customer stakeholders on platform economics and reporting topics.
Role Description The Product Experience Builder is a new kind of role: part product manager, part builder, entirely focused on creating plugins and capabilities that make Canvas more powerful for every customer. Where traditional PMs gather requirements and hand off to engineering, a Product Experience Builder gathers insight and then builds. - Use Canvas's SDK, AI-assisted development tools, and other modern tooling to build and ship plugins directly. - Drive rapid iteration cycles: get real functionality in front of customers fast, learn from how it's actually used, and improve continuously. - Own the full arc from discovery to deployed plugin — you are the loop between customer insight and shipped capability. - Maintain a high throughput of working solutions; influence at Canvas is earned through demonstrated impact on outcomes, not roadmap ownership. Design plugins that solve problems for many customers, not just one, thinking in terms of broadly applicable patterns and reusable building blocks. - Think in systems: understand how individual plugins interact with each other. - Enforce governance standards for how plugins are built, deployed, versioned, and coordinated. Work closely with Platform Engineering to identify gaps in the Canvas platform that limit what plugins can achieve. - Lead efforts to deconstruct monolithic Canvas features into discrete, composable plugins. - Prioritize platform investments by understanding which capabilities would unlock the most leverage across the customer base. - Bring a first-principles perspective to what Canvas's extensibility layer should look like in 1, 2, and 5 years. Work with Support, Implementation, Sales, and Customer Experience to understand where customers are struggling. - Translate those signals into a prioritized view of what the plugin ecosystem most needs. - Share early builds and prototypes with customer-facing teams to validate direction before investing in polish. - Act as the connective tissue between what customers experience in the field and what gets built into the wider plugin catalog. Develop a point of view on where the Canvas plugin ecosystem should go. - Contribute to Canvas's public-facing developer experience: documentation, guides/examples, and patterns. - Partner with product leadership to align the plugin roadmap with Canvas's long-term platform strategy. Qualifications - Experience in product management, solutions engineering, or a hybrid technical role. - Demonstrated ability to use modern AI-assisted development tools to build functional software independently. - Ability to tackle complex problems and deal with ambiguity. - Systems thinker in two dimensions: technical interaction and experiential interaction. - Strong product and design sense. - Rapid iteration instinct: belief in the fastest way to learn is to build something real. - Comfortable operating across technical and non-technical audiences. - Collaborative by nature. - Healthcare technology background preferred. Requirements - Hands-on experience with Python or similar languages. - Familiarity with FHIR or clinical data standards. - Experience building on top of EMR or health tech platforms. - Background in designing agent-based or multi-step automation workflows. Benefits - Competitive Salary & Equity Package - Health Insurance - Home Office Stipend - 401k - Paid Maternity/Paternity Leave (12 weeks) - Flexible/unlimited PTO Company Description Canvas Medical, established in 2015, is the EMR company accelerating everyday medicine at the speed of science. Canvas helps customers optimize the clinician experience using its unified architecture and developer tools.
