Kentro is hiring an experienced AI Data Integration Specialist to support our VA-ESOM- End Point Support and Operations Monitoring contract across the United States. The VA is responsible for providing comprehensive onsite and remote support to IT customers across all VA Administrations and special program offices, including direct support of over 340,000 VA employees and thousands of contractors who use government-furnished IT equipment and infrastructure. The VA provides support staff across 100+ CONUS and OCONUS locations, including difficult-to-accommodate locales, such as high cost of living or under-supported economic areas, where VA offices or facilities may be located and require onsite services. About OTG: The Operations Triage Group (OTG) provides expert engineering and data science support to VA OIT Senior Leadership (CIO, PDAS, SES) for the 100 most critical VA systems (C-100). We deliver strategic intelligence through major incident triage, daily executive briefings, and operational insights that directly impact Veterans’ access to healthcare and benefits. Position Overview: The AI Solutions Architect serves as a strategic thought leader and technical translator, bridging cutting-edge AI capabilities with mission-critical federal IT operations. You will advise on AI strategy, shape enterprise AI roadmaps, and translate complex technical concepts into actionable executive recommendations. Please note: This is not a development role. It’s a strategic advisory position requiring deep technical knowledge, systems thinking, executive communication excellence, and the ability to navigate complexity in a rapidly evolving environment. Location: Remote within the US supporting ET working hours. Responsibilities: Strategic AI Advisory & Client Engagement - Engage with VA OIT leadership (CIO, PDAS, SES) to understand business objectives and strategic aspirations related to AI, data science, and system reliability. - Articulate complex AI/ML concepts in clear, accessible language to non-technical executive stakeholders. - Collaborate with government stakeholders to formulate AI strategies aligned with VA mission goals and federal compliance requirements. - Create executive-ready work products including PowerPoint presentations, strategic roadmaps, and briefing materials. Solution Architecture & Technical Design - Conduct in-depth analysis of OTG operational requirements, translating them into actionable AI/ML initiatives. - Design end-to-end AI solution architectures that integrate with existing systems (ServiceNow, monitoring tools, data platforms) while accounting for federal security and compliance constraints. - Develop technical roadmaps for AI capability maturation, including phased implementation, dependency mapping, and risk mitigation. - Perform process and system mapping to identify automation opportunities and workflow optimization. - Coordinate with Chief AI Office (CAIO) and Azure platform teams on platform decisions and capability gap analysis. Research, Innovation & Continuous Learning - Research and evaluate emerging AI technologies and methodologies for applicability to federal IT operations, incident management, and system reliability. - Assess data maturity and quality as prerequisites for AI implementation. - Stay current on federal AI policy, CAIO guidance, and government-wide AI adoption patterns. Stakeholder Communication & Influence - Translate between technical teams, government clients, and senior leadership—bridging operational reality and strategic vision. - Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that convey complex technical information for executive audiences. - Build trusted advisor relationships with government stakeholders from technical SMEs to SES leadership. - Demonstrate high contextual awareness of VA OIT organizational dynamics, stakeholder priorities, and sensitivities. Project Oversight & Execution Support - Monitor progress of AI initiatives, ensuring alignment with established strategies. - Support government decision-making on platform selections, vendor evaluations, and capability trade-offs. - Document lessons learned and evolve OTG’s AI approach based on outcomes and feedback.

• Lead the development of DCS’s solutions automation roadmap and help define how advanced technologies are evaluated and applied. • Partner with automation suppliers (AMRs, robotics, goods-to-person systems, and emerging technologies) to integrate best-fit solutions into customer concepts. • Provide strategic guidance on data analytics, storage design, inventory optimization, order-picking strategies, cost-reduction initiatives, and process/system optimization. • Present findings, recommendations, and automation concepts directly to customers and internal stakeholders. • Collaborate with systems and applications engineering teams to review concept and final solutions, ensuring they are value-engineered and market competitive • Scope opportunities by understanding customer challenges, defining statements of work, and shaping project deliverables. • Support the development of final project documentation for supply chain consulting engagements. • Act as a senior leader within sales and pre-contract teams, guiding solution direction while representing the voice of the customer. • Gather customer feedback and recommend new services or improvements to existing offerings. • Travel onsite as needed to support project activities (approximately 25–30%).

Role Description The Enterprise Field Engineering team leads the technical relationship as a customer scales beyond initial implementations and deployments into broader expansion and full enterprise-wide adoption. Enterprise Field Engineers help to validate technology fit, architect and demonstrate new use cases and support deployment and operationalization as adoption expands. Qualifications - Extensive experience (5+ years) in solution architecture, field engineering, or technical presales/postsales roles, ideally in enterprise SaaS, cloud platforms, or industrial software. - Hands-on in Python, as well as good hands-on expertise with software development best practices. - Strong client-facing skills, with experience building trusted relationships with technology partners, enterprise clients, and internal stakeholders to co-create solutions and drive joint opportunities. - Expertise in industrial data, OT/IT convergence, and data integration patterns, with the ability to design scalable architectures that connect operational and enterprise systems. - Good understanding of data platforms, APIs, and integration methods, including data pipelines, storage, security, and governance — particularly in cloud and hybrid environments. Preferred Qualifications - Education or practical experience relevant to our key industry focus areas (e.g., petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, control system engineering, process engineering, etc.). - Knowledge of services and architectures provided by hyper scalers such as Azure, AWS, and GCP. - Demonstrated ability to lead technical validations and solution accelerators that showcase the value of complex integrated solutions to partners and customers. - Experience working closely with product and engineering teams, providing field feedback to shape product development and align solutions with customer and partner needs. - Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value for diverse audiences including executives, partners, and technical teams.
