Brand Copywriter
Ziff Davis
• Write and edit short- and long-form marketing copy across web, social, landing pages, video scripts, and lifecycle channels for multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment • Develop campaign messaging frameworks, headlines, taglines, CTAs, and supporting copy in partnership with design and marketing • Support seasonal moments and tentpole campaigns (e.g., Black Friday, SaveCation, brand milestones) • Translate promotions, deals, and savings opportunities into clear, shopper-friendly storytelling • Optimize copy using performance data, A/B testing insights, and channel best practices • Balance brand voice with clarity, urgency, and relevance—without sacrificing trust • Partner closely with brand designers to concept and execute campaigns where copy and design are developed together • Help define, maintain, and evolve RetailMeNot’s brand voice, tone, and copy guidelines • Audit and refresh existing content to improve clarity, consistency, and effectiveness • Participate in brainstorming, creative reviews, and rapid iteration
Job Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience writing brand and marketing copy in fast-paced in-house or agency environments
- Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign, brand, and performance-aware copy across multiple channels
- Proven ability to write both storytelling-driven content (social, video, long-form email) and conversion-focused copy (push, CTAs, paid)
- Experience working closely with designers and cross-functional partners
- Familiarity with SEO, conversion principles, and A/B testing
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Creative Writing, or related field (or equivalent experience)

• Write and edit marketing emails, including but not limited to: • Our weekly product update email • Our free trial series • Our new Host onboarding series • Our bi-weekly community updates • Monthly promotions • Event announcements and reminders • QA emails after the ops team has built them • Evolve our evergreen email drips based on new information, product drops, positioning—you’ll know exactly where in the customer journey new information should go, and work to get things updated. • Work with our Email Ops team to report out on what’s working and what’s not in our email channel. • Follow our project processes to ensure smooth hand-offs and that deadlines are met. • Understand the Mighty Networks product, our upcoming releases, and overall positioning so that you can translate it into our email copy.
• Write persuasive and engaging email copy • Ensure high-quality and error-free content through meticulous quality control
• Write clear, persuasive marketing copy on a daily basis in support of client goals • Produce copy across a range of formats, including landing pages, websites, email campaigns, paid and organic ads, conversion funnels, long-form content, social media captions, and video scripts • Collaborate with designers, project managers, account managers, and clients to define messaging direction and maintain consistency across campaigns • Conduct research and message mining before writing to ensure accuracy and relevance • Edit and refine your own work prior to review • Revise copy based on feedback, performance insights, and campaign outcomes • Other duties as assigned
