We'll Expect You To: - Work closely with Project Managers and other discipline Engineers to produce quality drawings - Create engineering markups for CAD technicians - Review survey and basemap drawings on projects - Be relied on as productive team member and discipline lead to work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output that conforms to company or client standards -Work on multiple projects at the same time - Calculates earthwork quantities/generate reports with an understanding of sloping grades - Coordination of activities between all disciplines at the project level ranging from stormwater, erosion control, site development and underground utilities - Provide quality checking of drafted products - Provide mentoring where needed - Pavement design - Light travel to projects for site visits, client workshop, project meetings and site inspections -Support projects and understand the workflow needed -Be able to do stormwater and drainage calculations -Have familiarity with various pipe materials in design Here's what you'll need - EIT - Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or ability to obtain within 6 months - Minimum 7 years of civil engineering experience - Ability to work well both independently and as a team - Attention to detail, quality work products, and client service - Experience with MS Office 365 (Email, Excel, Word, Teams) - Experience or working knowledge with Autodesk and Bentley CAD platforms - Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation Inroads or OpenRoads a plus - Ability to lead projects with moderate supervision #LI-KS6 Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about. Role Description RINA is currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to join its Onshore Structures Engineering Department, working with clients in the chemical, petrochemical, and industrial disciplines. This position may work from any of our US offices in IL, TX, OH, or MA. Remote options from other US locations may be considered. Compensation Data: $140,000 - $180,000 commensurate with experience and education. Bonus Eligible. The Senior Structural Engineer supports the design, analysis, and execution of complex structural engineering projects, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with regulations, and alignment with quality standards. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role is responsible for planning and coordinating engineering activities, supervising junior and intermediate staff, and contributing to the successful delivery of projects. The Senior Engineer acts as a technical lead within project teams, providing expertise and coordination under the overall guidance of the Principal Engineer or Engineering Manager. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural engineering. Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering or related fields. - Illinois Structural Engineer (SE) license.
