Job Description

Power BI Developer

ARHS Group

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business and operational needs, ensuring clear insights and user-friendly experiences. • Implement interactive dashboards with advanced filtering, slicing, and drill-down capabilities while maintaining a fast, responsive user experience. • Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks related to data volume, transformations, DAX calculations, and visual interactions, applying best practices to ensure optimal performance for large datasets (50,000+ records). • Design and implement robust data models using fact/dimension principles (star and snowflake schemas) to support efficient, scalable analytics. • Develop and optimize calculated measures and KPIs using DAX, balancing complexity with maintainability and performance. • Work with relational data sources and SQL queries to prepare high-performance datasets, coordinating with application development teams and data owners on data extraction and transformation strategies. • Document dashboards, data models, calculations, and performance considerations, contributing to a shared knowledge repository for future reference. • Deliver maintainable, reliable Power BI solutions that integrate with enterprise data platforms and comply with organizational standards. • Other specific duties as assigned by the team leader.

Job Requirements

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, data analytics, engineering, or a related field (required); a first-level degree combined with additional experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced degree.
  • At least five years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting solution development, including extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (fact and dimension tables, star and snowflake schemas) and proven ability to design optimized data models for complex datasets.
  • Advanced knowledge of DAX, with expertise in creating efficient calculated measures and KPIs for high-performance, interactive dashboards.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases, with experience delivering high-performance Power BI solutions for large datasets and applying platform optimization techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to troubleshoot and optimize Power BI data models, DAX calculations, and visualizations for speed and reliability.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in large, complex organizations.
  • Proactive attitude and strong organizational skills; able to plan, prioritize, and deliver work within agreed timelines.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
