Role Description The Demand Planner is an analytical expert responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving highly accurate demand forecasts across all product categories and channels. This role focuses on interpreting diverse data, including sell-in/sell-out, historical sales, trends, and seasonality, as well as cross-functional collaboration to build robust forecasts. This person is responsible for proactively monitoring forecast accuracy, identifying bias, and recommending data-driven corrective actions. What You’ll Do: - Demand Planning & Forecasting: - Develop, maintain, and continuously improve demand forecasts for all product categories (core assortment, new launches, events, and collateral materials) across relevant channels. - Gather and analyze data (e.g., sell-in/sell-out, historical sales, trends, seasonality) to build an accurate forecast. - Manage phase-in/phase-out planning in line with global and local marketing plans, stock availability, and sales performance to support smooth transitions and minimize obsolescence and service risk. - Monitor forecast accuracy, identify bias, and recommend corrective actions to improve performance. - Cross-Functional & Market Collaboration: - Lead monthly forecast review meetings with markets to collect key inputs (e.g., local initiatives, visual merchandising guidelines, marketing events/animations, PR actions) and ensure market specificities are accurately reflected in the forecast. - Establish and maintain effective, collaborative communication channels with markets and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and aligned forecast assumptions. - Supply Coordination & Risk Management: - Communicate and coordinate with Global Supply team on major forecast changes and sell-in versus forecast discrepancies to protect service and stock levels. - Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement: - Maintain demand planning systems and forecasting tools; contribute to ongoing process and system enhancements. - Prepare and maintain standard reporting and dashboards and provide ad-hoc analyses to support decision-making. Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply planning, or a closely related analytical role. - Solid understanding of forecasting principles and demand management (trend/seasonality analysis, forecast accuracy measurement, basic modeling concepts). - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data structuring, analysis, and reporting). - Experience with demand planning tools and ERP environments; Anaplan, Microsoft AX and/or SAP knowledge is a plus.
