Role Description The Walt Disney Company is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial and collaborative Director, Product Management – Cross Ecosystem Experiences to lead strategic consumer experience initiatives for our partnership with Epic Games in the development of an expansive digital universe connected to Fortnite. The Director, Product Management – Cross Ecosystem Experiences is a senior digital product leader responsible for shaping and executing a defined technology-driven product domain within the broader non-gameplay integration strategy—bringing Disney’s businesses and divisions, including Parks, Imagineering, Disney+, ESPN, Consumer Products, and other TWDC lines of business, into the Epic Games ecosystem. Key Responsibilities: - Orchestrate Product Vision & Strategy - Define, communicate, and continuously refine a cohesive digital product vision for how Disney businesses and experiences connect into the Epic Games ecosystem. - Define technical product principles and guardrails in partnership with engineering. - Execute against the product vision and strategic direction established by the VP and executive leadership. - Translate Portfolio Strategy into Roadmap Execution - Drive roadmap planning, prioritization, and sequencing across multiple Disney-to-Epic initiatives. - Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform and ecosystem thinking. - Lead Cross-Company and Cross-Functional Alignment - Act as a senior product counterpart to leaders across TWDC and Epic Games. - Drive alignment in support of the VP-led product vision and roadmap. - Own End-to-End Cross-Platform Experiences - Oversee the definition and evolution of seamless consumer journeys that connect Disney brands and experiences into Epic Games products. - Ensure experiences are cohesive, intuitive, and grounded in clear guest and business outcomes. - Drive Program-Level Delivery and Accountability - Provide product leadership across large, multi-workstream programs supporting Fortnite and related Epic integrations. - Establish technical success metrics alongside guest and business KPIs. - Apply Platform and Ecosystem Thinking - Partner closely with engineering and technical leadership to influence Epic and Disney platform capabilities. - Ensure product decisions support scalability, sustainability, and reuse. - Influence Investment and Prioritization Decisions - Use data, experimentation, and consumer insights to evaluate performance and inform investment decisions. - Bring clear, well-reasoned recommendations to the VP and executive stakeholders. - Executive Communication and Representation - Represent product strategy, roadmap progress, and outcomes with clarity and confidence in senior forums. - Act as a trusted proxy for the VP, escalating decisions appropriately. Qualifications - 12+ years of experience in Product Management, including ownership of complex, cross-platform or platform-adjacent consumer products with enterprise impact. - Demonstrated experience owning technical digital products, leading a product portfolio or domain. - Proven ability to operate across strategic and execution horizons. - Strong technical fluency and platform mindset. - Success navigating highly matrixed organizations and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority. - Exceptional communication, storytelling, and analytical skills. - Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred. Requirements - Experience with interactive media, gaming-adjacent platforms, or large-scale digital ecosystems. - Familiarity with identity systems, digital rewards, commerce, or data-driven engagement platforms. - Experience building or scaling products that operate across multiple brands or business units. Benefits - The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $207,400.00 to $278,100.00 per year. - A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package. - Full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
