UX Operations Specialist
Workforce and Community Education
• Support end-to-end UX workflows across research, design, and analytics • Manage intake, tracking, and coordination of UX work across teams, including timelines, stakeholders, vendors, and resources • Ensure UX work is tracked, updated, and progressing on schedule across projects, flagging risks and dependencies as needed • Facilitate clear communication across teams and stake holders, including surfacing updates, risks, and dependencies • Maintain and update tools (e.g., Jira) to ensure visibility into UX work, timelines, and status • Support ad hoc research and operational needs as they arise within the UX team • Represent UX teams in key meetings to share ticket and project updates • Partner with stakeholders to clarify requirements and support readiness for execution • Coordinate project kickoffs and ensure alignment across teams • Maintain and optimize tools (e.g., Jira) and workflows to support UX operations • Support development of standardized templates, documentation, and processes • Help prepare and support team status meetings (e.g., agendas, updates, tracking action items) in partnership with UX leadership • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline workflows • Lead tracking of UX budgets, including tools, research, and vendor/agency spending • Coordinate with external vendors and partners on invoicing, timelines, deliverables, and onboarding • Ensure resources are aligned to priorities and utilized effectively • Partner with PMO and cross-functional teams to align timelines, dependencies, and delivery plans • Ensure UX work is coordinated within broader program and project plans • Support coordination across multiple initiatives to maintain alignment and progress
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business operations, project management, or a related field preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in operations, program coordination, or UX/project support roles
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Marketing)
- Familiarity with UX processes (design, research, testing) and digital/web environments
- Experience using tools like Jira, Asana, Airtable, or similar to track and manage work
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain clear workflows
- Experience coordinating with vendors or external partners is a plus.

Role Description The Product Designer will own the design of U.S. Soccer's mobile application, the iOS and Android experience that connects members, fans, and participants to the game across the country. Reporting to the Director of Product, this individual will own the end-to-end mobile design experience and serve as the design lead for the app, setting up the bar for craft, usability, and brand expression on a platform that touches our community every day. The ideal candidate is a hands-on designer with a deep understanding of native mobile design patterns, strong craft, and a genuine interest in the people behind the product. They will partner closely with product management, engineering, brand, and stakeholders across the Federation to define the mobile vision and ship experiences end to end, while helping evolve the mobile component of U.S. Soccer's broader design system. Primary Responsibilities - Own the design of U.S. Soccer's mobile application across iOS and Android, owning the experience from vision through launch and ongoing iteration. - Define the design direction for the app, including information architecture, core flows, navigation patterns, and visual language. - Translate complex requirements from across the Federation into clear, intuitive mobile experiences. - Apply native iOS and Android design patterns and platform conventions while maintaining a coherent U.S. Soccer brand experience across both platforms. - Conduct user research with members, fans, and Federation staff and translate findings into product decisions. - Partner with product and engineering to define the mobile roadmap, prioritize tradeoffs, and shape what gets built. - Contribute to and extend the mobile app design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across iOS and Android. - Collaborate closely with mobile engineers throughout implementation, supporting design QA on real devices and balancing craft with delivery timelines. - Design for real-world conditions including variable connectivity, push notifications, and a wide range of device sizes. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of expertise, or equivalent professional experience. - 2+ years of professional product design experience, with a meaningful portion focused on shipping native mobile applications (iOS, Android, or both). - A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design, interaction design, and end-to-end mobile product thinking. - Strong working knowledge of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design, and an understanding of when to follow platform conventions versus when to depart from them. - Proficiency in Figma, including building and maintaining mobile components, variants, and tokens, and creating prototypes that communicate motion and interaction. - Demonstrated ability to drive design work independently and lead the design direction of a product or major feature area. - General knowledge of soccer. - Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments. - Must be able to connect the "micro" details to the "macro" vision and mission.
