Role Description As a Software Engineer III, you are a senior contributor to an engineering team responsible for development and support of a Payment Integrity SaaS product. You demonstrate expertise in core technologies, consistently deliver on complex sprint commitments, and model engineering best-practices in code quality, solutioning, and engineering process. You actively mentor others, lead technical conversations that drive quality and delivery decisions, and present knowledge within the broader community or company. Responsibilities - Creating and implementing enterprise-class SaaS software solutions - System analysis, development and testing of software products - Developing with third-party platforms (i.e. applications, APIs, etc.) for customization and integration with company’s core products - Working independently on complex software solutions from start to finish - Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in solutioning and coding best practices - Lead technical conversations driving decisions around quality and delivery, including application of SOLID principles - Help drive initiatives related to quality attributes and contribute to improving technical standards across the team - Advise on work items in planning and during sprints to help achieve goals and promote high quality in deliverables - Find and implement quality improvements through refactoring and code rework in a targeted manner - Actively present findings and solutions in cross-organizational or community groups to help further knowledge in others Qualifications - 4+ years of experience writing enterprise-class software solutions - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience in an enterprise-class setting - Experience and aptitude with the .NET Framework and C# - Experience and aptitude with SOAP and REST Web APIs (i.e. XML/JSON, WSDL, etc.) - Experience writing back-end and/or middleware software solutions - Experience with SQL and/or No-SQL databases, such as MySQL or MongoDB - Experience writing Front-End software utilizing common Javascript frameworks (Angular, React, Node, etc.) - Positive, self-motivated, driven, and teachable attitude - High standard of personal integrity and accountability - Passion for software engineering with a team-oriented, customer-focused mindset - Passion and aptitude for solving complex problems Preferences - Healthcare system experience, especially with claims, member/eligibility, and provider data - Experience and proficiency with ALL parts of defining, designing, and implementing scalable, enterprise-class software solutions - Strong communication skills, especially aptitude to break down complex problems into simple, non-technical terms - Advanced knowledge and experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS, including serverless architecture and scalable cloud design - Technical documentation skills are a plus - Agile or technical certifications are a plus - Experience and aptitude directly supporting users and/or conducting end-user training - Proficiency in application architecture and scalable implementation Benefits - Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance – Enjoy medical, dental, and vision insurance that begins on your first day, ensuring your health and wellness are always supported. - 401(k) with Matching and Immediate Vesting – Secure your financial future with a company match and instant vesting. - Company-Paid Short-Term Disability (STD) – Added security for unforeseen circumstances. - Company-Paid Personal Financial Advising – Expert guidance to help manage your finances. - New Hire Stipend – A one-time stipend to purchase home office supplies (laptop and charging cable provided by the company). - Pet Insurance Options – Choose from two carrier options to keep your furry friends covered. - Paid Holidays – 9 company holidays plus 2 floating holidays for added flexibility. - Virtual Counseling and Telemedicine – Company-paid access to mental health and medical support from the comfort of your home. - Paid Parental Leave – Time to focus on family during this special chapter. - Generous Vacation & Wellness Time – 4 weeks of vacation beginning accrual on day one, plus 1 additional week for wellness. - Professional Development Stipend – After one year, enjoy a $500 annual stipend to invest in professional growth (e.g., certifications, webinars).
