Junior Systems Administrator

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems in production environments. • Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications using Docker and/or Podman. • Support container orchestration platforms such as Docker Compose (deployment, troubleshooting, and operations). • Automate system configuration and provisioning using Ansible. • Develop and maintain scripts (Bash, Python) to automate routine operational tasks. • Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve incidents across infrastructure and application layers. • Maintain system security, including patching, access controls, and certificate management. • Provide support for Java applications using the Spring framework running on Tomcat with Nginx. • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.

Job Requirements

  • Experience working in heavily regulated environments.
  • 3 - 7+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator.
  • Strong experience with Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker or Podman.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash and/or Python).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Role Description This role can be based remotely in the United States. The Financial Systems Governance Administrator will administer various customer, vendor, user, and employee updates in applicable operational and financial systems. Responsibilities include: - Facilitating the transfer of data from operational and other external sources into the financial system. - Exercising data governance practices to provide insights into the finance operating rhythm. - Focusing on streamlining processes, improving data quality, and providing awareness to finance leadership on where gaps exist.
