It is an ideal role for a future nurse looking to explore the intersection of technology, pedagogy, and professional development outside of traditional healthcare settings. - Student-Centric Quality Review: Collaborate with the content team to audit nursing practice questions and rationales; provide a "student’s-eye view" to ensure explanations are clear, cross-reference content with current nursing textbooks for consistency, and identify areas where rationales can be simplified or expanded to better support peer learning. - Platform Feedback: Provide user experience feedback on digital learning tools, helping our developers make the interface more intuitive for nursing and healthcare study sessions. - Curriculum Research: Assist in tracking changes to state board requirements and emerging trends in nursing school curricula to keep Kaplan materials ahead of the curve. - Resource Development: Help draft supplemental study guides, blog posts, or social media educational snippets tailored to the needs and "pain points" of current nursing students. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in remote meetings with tech, marketing, and education teams to help align our products with the modern student experience. Role Description Students Demand Action is seeking a Postgraduate Organizing Fellow to manage and support student volunteers in a group of states in the Eastern Region of the country. As a member of the Students Demand Action team, you will work collaboratively with an interdepartmental regional team to support state, local, and federal campaigns in their states. As an Organizing Fellow, you will be the point of contact for Students Demand Action leaders and play a vital role in the leadership development of student volunteers, strengthening the Students Demand Action Organizing Model and building an inclusive and equitable movement. The Organizing Fellow will receive training and resources upon starting, including background on the gun violence prevention movement, Everytown’s policy positions, managing for equity and inclusion, and volunteer management training.
