• Able to propose the most appropriate architecture for building data pipelines based on a defined problem (e.g., Lambda architecture, Kappa architecture, ETL, scraping, etc.) • Advanced knowledge of cloud computing and able to recommend the most suitable infrastructure components for a given problem (e.g., Kubernetes, VMs, ECS, etc.) • Capable of identifying and proposing optimizations for performance issues at any stage of the data architecture (e.g., Spark clusters, Kafka clusters, databases, etc.) • Able to handle complex incidents, implement monitoring, and propose solutions that address root causes.
Job Requirements
- Data Architecture: Strong experience designing and implementing Data Lakes and Lakehouses (e.g., Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, or Hudi)
- Governance and Quality: Knowledge of data catalog, lineage, and access-control tools (e.g., Unity Catalog, Amundsen, DataHub)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation to provision data resources
- Cloud Computing: Advanced experience with cloud providers such as AWS (S3, Glue, Lake Formation), Azure (ADLS, Synapse), or GCP (BigQuery, Dataplex)
- Storage and Performance: Knowledge of partitioning, file compression (Parquet, Avro), and storage cost optimization

Role Description We are looking for a hands-on Software / Data Engineer to own and maintain a modern cloud-based data platform focused on EV repair cost intelligence and analytics. You will work across backend engineering, AWS infrastructure, data pipelines, and analytics systems, helping maintain and evolve a platform used by insurers and automotive organisations to better understand EV repair risk and pricing. This is a highly practical engineering role suited to someone who enjoys taking ownership of systems end-to-end, solving real operational problems, and improving reliability, scalability, and maintainability across a growing platform.
