Role Description As the Senior Engineering Manager (Internal Title: Senior Manager, Application Engineering), you will be responsible for: - ERP Data Specialist: Implement connectors to fetch and store ERP data, ensuring high availability and efficient, secure storage. - Business-Tech Liaison: Understand business requirements and design technical solutions to bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation. - Backend API Master: Implement or upgrade backend APIs to meet evolving customer requirements. - System Maintenance and Architecture Champion: Maintain existing services, deploy improvements, and build new foundational components. - Global Team Player: Collaborate with teams in the US, Singapore, and China, being flexible with work hours. This is a fully-remote opportunity based in India. Standard work hours are from 8 am to 5 pm IST. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related majors. - 8+ years overall experience. - Solid computer foundation and programming skills, familiar with common data structures and algorithms. - Excellent in one of the following languages: Python/Golang/Java (Python is the most preferred). - Proficiency with messaging platforms (Kafka, RMQ, SQS) and relational/NoSQL datastores (MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra, ScyllaDB, HBase, Redis, Aerospike, etc.). - Experience in architecture and developing large-scale distributed systems. - Familiarity with microservice architecture, API gateway patterns, and service observability (logging, tracing, metrics). - Proven track record building and operating systems with strict latency and reliability requirements in 24/7 environments. - Strong architectural expertise with modern backend stacks (Go, Python, Java, Node.js) and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes/Docker). - Excellent logic analysis capabilities. - Strong ownership, self-motivation, and the ability to deliver independently while collaborating effectively. - Experience leading small engineering initiatives or mentoring junior developers (25-30%). - Ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts and org-wide strategies.
