Enterprise Solutions Engineer remote type Remote locations USA - Remote time type Full time job requisition id REQ000284 Job Description: insightsoftware is seeking a Sr. Solutions Engineer to support our Business Intelligence Business Unit, reporting directly to the Director of Solutions Engineering. This position will focus on pre-sales support, technical discovery, and product demonstrations for our Power ON product. The ideal candidate is experienced in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and comfortable working directly with customers to scope, design, and demonstrate solutions. Primary Responsibilities: - Technical Expertise: Build deep expertise in our analytics and reporting solutions, including Power BI integrations, advanced modeling, and data platform capabilities. - Client Engagement: Partner with Power ON account executives to understand prospect requirements and position the right solution. - Product Demonstrations: Deliver engaging demos that illustrate how our platform solves business problems across industries. - Solution Design: Guide prospects through discovery and design processes, leveraging advanced Power BI and SQL skills to prototype and propose effective solutions. - Proposal Development: Assist in technical portions of RFP responses, statements of work (SOWs), and project scoping documentation. - Feedback Loop: Share field insights with Product, Services, and Engineering to inform roadmap prioritization and improve solution-market fit. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years in a customer-facing role such as sales engineering, analytics consulting, or pre-sales. Technical Skills: - Power BI: Strong proficiency with data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard development - SQL: Advanced SQL capabilities including complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers - Communication Skills: Comfortable presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders; able to simplify complex concepts. - Discovery & Scoping: Ability to conduct effective discovery sessions, translate use cases into technical specs, and craft persuasive demo narratives. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience supporting analytics or reporting software in a B2B environment - Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud-based data platforms - Exposure to PowerON or write-back planning tools within Power BI - Experience with SaaS, financial reporting, or EPM/ERP software The salary range in United States of America for this position is 139,000.00 to 174,000.00 USD Annual. Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for a bonus. For sales roles, this range includes a commission target.
