Senior Fullstack Engineer
Ultimate Jet Vacations - UJV
• Design, develop and maintain features across the full stack: React/Next.js, NestJS middleware, and PHP Laravel services • Contribute to the migration of the legacy Node.js API Gateway (AWS Lambda) to the new NestJS-based platform • Define and implement scalable architecture patterns for backend services and frontend components • Integrate and leverage AI-powered tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development • Collaborate proactively in a remote-first environment • Contribute to DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, containerization, infrastructure as code • Apply travel/hospitality domain knowledge to inform product decisions
Job Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in full-stack development
- Expertise in travel tech (online booking engines, group travel, eCommerce)
- Strong experience with PHP/Laravel (5+ years)
- Proficient in React/Next.js and modern backend frameworks such as NestJS
- Strong experience designing, building, and integrating REST APIs
- Experience with Redis, caching strategies, and message queue systems such as BullMQ, RabbitMQ, or SQS
- Strong SQL knowledge and hands-on experience with MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of CRM system optimization, pipeline management, and business logic for Book of Business Management
- Experience with integrating third-party APIs
- Proficient in Linux servers and database management
- Experience with agile development practices, cross-browser testing, debugging, and CI/CD workflows
- Proficient with Git/GitHub
- Familiar with AI-powered coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor
- Understanding of AWS services (CloudFormation, S3, EC2, SQS)

• Build new experiences that delight customers. • Own architecture and day-to-day development of our React Native / Expo mobile application. • Partner closely with our API engineers, not as a downstream consumer, but as a co-author of requirements and contracts. • Work side-by-side with the web engineering team to ship cohesive, parallel experiences across platforms; coordinate shared patterns, shared concerns, and shared deadlines. • Collaborate daily with product, design, and QA to translate ambiguous customer problems into clean, shippable solutions. • Set the technical bar for the mobile codebase through architecture, code review, testing strategy, performance work, accessibility, and release engineering. • Mentor and uplevel other engineers and act as a force multiplier rather than a single point of throughput. • Drive technical decisions with a relentless customer focus: what we ship has to work, in the real world, on real devices, for real users.
