Job Description

Head of Product Transformation

Innovaccer

• Serve as the CPO's thought partner and operational deputy, preparing briefing materials, driving follow-through on key initiatives, and acting as a proxy in select forums. • Own the CPO's planning calendar: quarterly business reviews, product leadership offsites, board and executive updates, and annual planning cycles. • Distil complex, cross-functional inputs into crisp written recommendations, decision documents, and narratives for senior audiences. • Identify issues before they surface to the CPO — proactively resolving blockers, brokering alignment, and escalating only what truly requires executive attention. • Design and stand up the product operating model for an AI-native organization — including portfolio prioritization, OKR processes, roadmap governance, and cross-functional rituals. • Build lightweight, high-signal reporting cadences that give the CPO and product leadership real-time visibility into progress, risks, and decisions. • Drive quarterly and annual planning: coordinating inputs from product, engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market teams into a coherent, executable plan. • Identify operational inefficiencies and eliminate them — the goal is a product organization that ships faster and with less friction, not more process. • Lead high-priority transformation programs on behalf of the CPO — spanning organizational design, AI adoption, new capability builds, and cross-functional change management. • Act as a program manager for initiatives that cut across multiple teams and do not have a natural single owner. • Build the infrastructure for how the product organization makes and communicates decisions — from DACI frameworks to async-first working norms. • Partner with People, Finance, and Legal as needed to bring structure to people and resource decisions in the product org. • Help shape what it means to operate as an AI-native product organization — piloting new tools, workflows, and norms and socializing them across the team. • Build muscle around how the product organization consumes, generates, and acts on AI-driven insights. • Partner with product and design leadership to embed AI-first thinking into how we scope, prototype, and evaluate work.

Job Requirements

  • 7–12+ years of experience in product management, strategy, management consulting, chief of staff, or business operations roles — ideally with meaningful time in a high-growth technology or healthcare technology company.
  • Track record of building from scratch. You have stood up new processes, teams, or functions and know how to earn buy-in without authority.
  • Familiarity with AI tooling and modern product operating models. You are curious and opinionated about how AI changes how teams work, and you have practical experience putting AI to use.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication. You can write a crisp one-pager for the CEO and a detailed PRD spec in the same week. You tailor your message to the audience.
  • Strong product intuition. You do not need to be a product manager, but you need to speak the language fluently — roadmaps, trade-offs, customer insight, technical constraints.
  • Structured thinking under ambiguity. You can hold complexity, work through incomplete information, and still drive decisions forward.
  • Genuine comfort as an individual contributor. You are not waiting to manage people. You are energised by the idea of building something from the ground up and rolling up your sleeves.
  • High emotional intelligence and organisational savvy. You build trust quickly, navigate competing priorities with empathy, and know how to influence without creating friction.

Benefits

  • Generous Paid Time Off: Recharge and relax with 20 days of fixed time off per year, in addition to company holidays—because we believe work-life balance fuels performance.
  • Best-in-Class Parental Leave: Spend quality time with your growing family. We offer one of the industry’s most generous parental leave policies to support you during life’s most important moments.
  • Recognition & Rewards: We celebrate wins—big and small. Get rewarded with monetary incentives and company-wide recognition for your impact and dedication. Your hard work won’t go unnoticed.
  • Comprehensive Insurance Coverage: Stay covered with medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 100% company-paid short- and long-term disability and basic life insurance. Optional perks include discounted legal aid and pet insurance.

Role Description We are a team of creative technologists who live at the intersection of engineering and storytelling. We craft narratives that connect the what, how, and why of our technology — from major product launches to minor releases, video tutorials to interacting with and influencing analysts. We drive defining the core message, aligning the company, and telling narratives that stick. You will be the voice of Elastic Observability in the market, a trusted thought partner to product management and field teams, jointly shaping the outbound strategy that drives adoption across observability use cases. You will move between the technical and the creative: understanding how our products work, who uses them, and why it matters, then translating that into positioning, content, and campaigns. Be responsible for the observability narrative at Elastic, from market positioning to product launch and field enablement. You'll work with a distributed team, including product, sales, marketing and executive leadership. What You Will Be Doing - Own messaging and positioning: Craft differentiated, compelling narratives for Elastic Observability that resonate with both practitioners and decision makers. - Drive go-to-market strategy end-to-end: Define and lead GTM for new launches and campaigns from strategy through execution and track metrics. - Enable the field: Build training and content that empowers sales, solutions engineering, and customer success to tell the Elastic story with confidence. - Represent Elastic in the community: Attend and present at trade shows, conferences, and industry events. Some travel required. Qualifications - Direct experience with Observability, DevOps, or cloud-native infrastructure use cases. - Curiosity about the "how" of technology, paired with the storytelling instinct to explain the "why" to any audience. - A track record of crafting engaging content through blog posts, presentations, demos, videos that makes technical ideas accessible and compelling. - Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting to audiences of all sizes, from an intimate field briefing to a conference keynote. - Experience collaborating across a highly cross-functional, globally distributed team. Bonus Points - Background in observability and prior experience as an SRE, platform engineer, solutions engineer, or consultant. Compensation - The typical starting salary range for this role is: $135,700 — $215,000 USD. - The typical starting salary range for this role in select locations is: $163,100 — $258,000 USD. - Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. - Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. - This role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. - Our total rewards package includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings. Benefits - Competitive pay based on the work you do here and not your previous salary. - Health coverage for you and your family in many locations. - Ability to craft your calendar with flexible locations and schedules for many roles. - Generous number of vacation days each year. - We match up to $2000 (or local currency equivalent) for financial donations and service. - Up to 40 hours each year to use toward volunteer projects you love. - Minimum of 16 weeks of parental leave. Additional Information As a distributed company, diversity drives our identity. Whether you’re looking to launch a new career or grow an existing one, Elastic is the type of company where you can balance great work with great life. We strive to have parity of benefits across regions and while regulations differ from place to place, we believe taking care of our people is the right thing to do. Elastic is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, ethnicity, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender perception or identity, national origin, age, marital status, protected veteran status, disability status, or any other basis protected by federal, state or local law, ordinance or regulation. We welcome individuals with disabilities and strive to create an accessible and inclusive experience for all individuals.
