Business Resilience Associate
Griffin
• Own our supplier management framework, deepening supply chain mapping, monitoring supplier performance, and strengthening our resilience by understanding our most critical third-party relationships • Design, coordinate and help run supplier failure scenario tests across the business that answer the question "how resilient are we?" • Support the development of our first-line controls assurance programme, helping to build the infrastructure that keeps our risk and control environment robust • Embed our resilience culture across Griffin, working in close partnership with operations and technology teams to make resilience a shared responsibility • Keep pace with our regulatory environment, ensuring our programme remains aligned with PRA/FCA requirements on operational resilience and supplier management • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our operational resilience programme as Griffin grows and the regulatory landscape evolves • Shape this role based on insights into customer needs and technical gaps.
Job Requirements
- Experience working in a regulated financial services environment, with a strong understanding of how banks and financial institutions operate
- Familiarity with PRA/FCA regulations on operational resilience and third-party/supplier management
- Hands-on experience with supplier or third-party management, particularly where those suppliers contribute to delivering important business services
- Comfort working alongside technology teams. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be able to speak their language and collaborate effectively
- A love of writing - we have a major amount of written documentation that you will be contributing to, and we place a high degree of importance on clarity and readability
- Experience developing or exercising business continuity plans (ideally)
- Knowledge of EU DORA and its implications for financial services firms (ideally)
- Line 1.5 or first-line assurance experience (ideally)

• Assist with various Software related activities including, but not limited to support, testing, configuration, quality control, deployment, and data editing. • Perform Geodatabase editing, querying and analysis tasks using Esri or GeoCurrent software tools. • Assist with the installation and configuration of Esri, GeoCurrent, and third-party software applications. • Provide client technical support for GeoCurrent and Esri software products. • Track daily activity and provide updates to supervisor. • Comply with all safety policies and procedures. • Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. • Perform other approved duties as assigned by supervisor and department management.
• Source and develop acquisition opportunities through direct outreach and relationship building • Build trust with founders, operators, and intermediaries to generate proprietary deal flow • Lead early-stage diligence, opportunity assessment, and transaction qualification • Evaluate businesses across financial, operational, legal, and strategic dimensions • Manage transactions from sourcing through diligence, negotiation, and close • Develop investment recommendations and present to senior leadership • Partner with legal, finance, and operating teams to ensure smooth execution • Help refine acquisition strategy, target criteria, and repeatable deal processes • Partner with leadership and operators of acquired businesses to support post-transaction integration, governance, and performance tracking • Identify and drive operational improvements and growth initiatives across acquired firms, including monitoring KPIs, advising on strategic decisions, and supporting execution of value creation plans
• Underwrite and manage the financial lines reinsurance portfolio • Act as primary point of contact with reinsurance brokers • Evaluate portfolio performance and underwriting discipline • Review and negotiate treaty contracts • Perform in-depth portfolio management • Prepare and present underwriting analyses to Underwriting Committees • Collaborate with actuarial/pricing teams • Support accurate booking and financial accounting of treaties • Represent the company at industry conferences and market events • Mentor junior underwriters or analysts
