Virtual Legal Assistant
Equivity
• Provide administrative, logistical, and clerical support to attorneys and paralegals. • Serve as a point of contact for client communications, including calls, emails, and follow-ups. • Manage and triage email inboxes to ensure timely responses and proper routing. • Coordinate service of process, including arranging, confirming, and tracking service. • Handle calendaring and deadline entry at the direction of attorneys or paralegals. • Schedule meetings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and client consultations. • Arrange logistics for depositions, mediations, and hearings, including court reporters, videographers, Zoom links, conference rooms, and confirmations. • Assist with dictation by transcribing attorney notes or recorded instructions. • Maintain CRM systems and client files, including organizing, uploading, and updating records. • Prepare basic documents such as cover letters, transmittal letters, signature pages, envelopes, and labels. • Create case summaries from notes, transcripts, or documents. • Perform basic document formatting and cleanup (Word and Excel), including template preparation, spacing, grammar review, and signature coordination. • Order supplies and assist with general administrative errands for the practice.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 1 year of experience in a legal administrative, legal assistant, or litigation support role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a remote environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and common legal technology platforms
- Professional, proactive, and dependable
- Familiarity with Clio, MyCase, or other popular legal CRMs
- Reliable home office setup with high-speed internet

In this role, you will leverage your expertise in corporate transactions, securities filings, and investment banking legal work to support the training of advanced AI systems. You will collaborate with technical teams to refine annotation tools and curate impactful data, ensuring our models effectively capture real-world legal analysis and corporate documentation dynamics. This role requires adaptability, strong analytical skills, and a passion for driving innovation in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Utilize proprietary software to provide accurate input and labels for corporate law and securities projects, ensuring high-quality data for AI model training. - Deliver curated, high-quality data for corporate law scenarios involving: - securities filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, S-1s) - investment banking transaction documentation (prospectuses, offering memoranda, indentures, credit agreements) - M&A documentation (merger agreements, purchase agreements, disclosure schedules) - corporate governance materials - regulatory compliance filings - Collaborate with technical staff to support the training of new AI tasks and contribute to the development of innovative technologies. - Assist in designing and improving efficient annotation tools tailored for corporate law and securities documentation. - Select and analyze complex problems in corporate law and securities fields aligned with your expertise to enhance AI model performance. - Interpret, analyze, and execute tasks based on evolving instructions, maintaining precision and adaptability.
