Product Analytics Engineer

KOHO

• Lead complex product pipeline builds: Design and develop scalable data pipelines supporting cross-domain product launches in Payments, Credit, and Subscriptions, from scoping through delivery • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product Analysts and Product Managers to define data requirements, while analysts continue owning pipelines alongside you • Build product reporting infrastructure: Create reliable, performant marts and models that power product dashboards and self-service analytics • Design scalable data models: Apply modeling frameworks (one big table, entity tables, Kimball) tailored to product analytics use cases • Optimize and monitor: Maintain pipeline health, optimize query performance, and implement data quality monitoring • Enable the team: Document solutions, establish best practices, and help upskill Product Analysts on pipeline development • Integrate cross-functional data: Work across domain boundaries to unify product data into cohesive reporting structures

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar data roles
  • Advanced DBT expertise: Comfortable with various materializations, such as incremental, table, view, etc. Familiar with snapshots, variables, macros, and jinja.
  • Strong SQL skills with a focus on query optimization and performance
  • Experience with modern data stack: DBT Core and/or DBT Cloud, Git. A plus if experience with Redshift.
  • Collaborative mindset: You thrive working alongside analysts, PMs, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong communicator: You adapt communication to different audiences and connect technical work to product outcomes
  • Proactive problem-solver: You identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative without waiting to be asked
  • AI-curious: Experience or strong interest in leveraging AI tools for development workflows

Role Description As part of the Insights at BlueLabs, you’ll be working with a group of analysts and data scientists who work across BlueLabs’ client sectors, including commercial, political, and non-profit clients, to inform data-driven decisions and strategy. - This position requires a mix of analysis and data management as well as client presentation and communication. - You’ll be responsible for hard analysis as well as putting together the data infrastructure, reports, and calculators that will power our solutions. - Creating client-facing materials that summarize findings is also part of the role. - Analysts at BlueLabs have the best understanding of the nuances of a client’s data and our solutions. - Some work is templated, but the team excels when they come up with creative solutions to problems. - Examples of projects include: - Analyzing polling data to discover trends and insights and creating reports that communicate findings. - Building crosstabs that detail the makeup of an advertising audience, target universe, or group of survey respondents. - Presenting findings to clients and stakeholders, who may be non-technical or highly technical. - Mentoring analysts or fellows and supporting their growth and development. - Completing other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
