Job Requirements
- 5+ years of database development experience and solid understanding of database principles.

- CS fundamentals (algorithms, OS internals, data structures)
- Proficiency in Linux-based software development and debugging.
- Experience optimizing database system performance.
- Strong problem-solving skills in database and system troubleshooting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

ABOUT FLOVISION SOLUTIONS FloVision Solutions is a remote-first startup focused on improving the food supply chain, starting with protein processing. We design computer vision and machine learning-assisted production processes to reduce food waste, improve QA, and enhance staff skills, using proprietary hardware and software to solve customer problems. FloVision Solutions is a U.S.-based Series A startup with a remotely distributed team across the USA, UK, and Ireland. POSITION OVERVIEW As the first Mechatronics Engineer at FloVision Solutions, you will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and deploying novel robotic systems in food production environments. You will support our team in bringing real-time, robotic applications to market that harness feedback from FloVision’s current computer vision applications (FloVision Pro and Nano). We are looking for a hands-on systems engineer with a strong mechatronic background who wants to help us achieve our mission of reducing 1% of CO2 emissions through a reduction in food waste. As one of FloVision’s early employees and the first robotics hire, you will have an influential role in the robotics product development and culture at FloVision. LOCATION & TRAVEL This role is a full-time remote position. Attend team meetups and work sessions two to four times per year.
