• Design and produce direct-response paid social static creative (and static-adjacent motion where needed) against briefs for active Meta testing sprints — every asset built to drive a specific action, informed by performance data • Turn winning concepts into fresh variations and format extensions for continued testing • Apply and maintain Monarch's brand and design system across every asset • Translate briefs, rough direction, and performance signals into strong, on-brand first drafts that need minimal redirection • Keep design files, templates, and asset libraries clean, organized, and reusable

• Design and continuously improve Monarch's leadership operating system, including planning cadences, decision-making frameworks, and operating rhythms. • Own the operating mechanics behind quarterly and annual planning, ensuring priorities, dependencies, and execution remain aligned across the company. • Drive execution of the company's highest-priority cross-functional initiatives by improving coordination, accountability, and follow-through. • Build and evolve the operating mechanisms, documentation, and planning artifacts that enable teams to execute effectively at scale. • Partner closely with founders and functional leaders to identify organizational friction, improve decision-making, and continuously strengthen how Monarch operates.

• Conduct application security reviews — threat modeling, code review, and risk assessment — for new features and major product changes across Monarch's Django/Python stack • Perform and improve SAST/DAST operations including triage, validation, and remediation tracking of findings in CI/CD pipelines • Work through the vulnerability backlog with urgency — maintaining triage criteria, remediation tracking, and escalation paths in partnership with engineering squads • Perform and coordinate penetration testing and security assessments against Monarch's web and API surfaces • Apply and improve AI security review processes for LLM-integrated features and agentic attack surfaces — covering prompt injection, data leakage, model abuse, and supply chain risk • Build and maintain security automations and AI-powered tooling, and define and assess security requirements for AI workflows and agentic systems. • Participate in the weekly security on-call rotation

• You'll own discovery, prioritization, and delivery on a high-leverage area of Monarch's product. • Take end-to-end responsibility from identifying the opportunity through shipping and iterating in-market. • Manage a large, interconnected surface area without losing focus. • Make decisions using quantitative data, qualitative research, and customer feedback. • Communicate in a way that is clear, succinct, and proactive across engineering, design, GTM, and leadership.

• Build a detection engineering program and supporting infrastructure • Author and maintain detections and build alerting pipelines that feed triage and incident response • Investigate and respond to security incidents • Drive security configuration and policy for enterprise AI platforms (Claude Enterprise, OpenAI) • Use AI daily to transform how detection, response and corporate security operates — building LLM-augmented workflows for detection, triage, automation, and internal tooling • Partner with IT to harden SaaS platforms and endpoints (Iru/Kandji MDM, CrowdStrike Falcon EDR) • Mature DLP program covering SaaS, email, endpoints, and AI prompt exfiltration paths

• Lead and grow the Application & Product Security squad, defining the team's charter, KPIs, and roadmap and holding the team accountable to measurable outcomes • Combining strong engineering execution with strategic leadership to drive the squad forward • Own the strategic direction of product, application, and AI security — translating business and regulatory risk into a clear, prioritized program • Drive vulnerability management end-to-end with urgency, owning reporting across Monarch's product surface area • Lead offensive security programs including penetration testing, bug bounty, and threat detection & incident response • Embed AI-first, automated approaches to securing the engineering pipeline and SDLC — replacing manual processes with AI agents where appropriate

• Keep the founders focused on the highest-leverage work. Own end-to-end calendar management for three co-founders, each with a distinct operating rhythm. Exercise independent judgment on prioritization, conflicts, and time protection. • Ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Triage founder communications, route cross-functional requests, and maintain systems for tracking commitments, action items, and follow-ups. Know when to handle, route, or escalate without being told. • Set founders up to walk into every room prepared. Own prep for board meetings, investor conversations, offsites, and leadership events end to end. Agendas, materials, briefing context, logistics. • Manage key relationships and correspondence on behalf of the founding team. Outreach, thank-you notes, proactive contact management. • Build and refine your own workflows using AI. You'll join a team running on AI tools daily. We expect you to use AI to accelerate your work and continuously raise your own bar.

• Lead and develop a team of CS Leads, providing direction, coaching, and ongoing feedback to support their growth and effectiveness • Manage workload capacity and prioritization across the CS Lead team to ensure balanced coverage and high-quality outcomes • Partner with the Head of CS to grow the CS Lead team, including hiring an additional lead (2 currently on team) • Own customer escalations, providing direct resolution or looping in senior leadership as needed • Identify and surface recurring issues (both for customers and in team workflows); drive planning and execution of long-term solutions in partnership with CS Ops • Review ticket queue reports regularly to identify quality assurance gaps and proactively flag escalation risks • Develop and maintain internal documentation and training resources to support CS Lead effectiveness and team consistency • Manage and update customer-facing Help Center content to ensure accuracy and clarity • Represent CS cross-functionally and lead or contribute to department projects and process improvements

Qualifications - 5+ years of software engineering experience. - Strong coding skills in Python, TypeScript, and React. - Experience leading the feasibility and execution of complex projects. - Technical vision and ability to balance short-term delivery with long-term architectural goals. - Strong product intuition and a passion for building consumer experiences users love, backed by strong quantitative and qualitative understanding of product experiences. - Experience leveraging and extending A/B testing frameworks, experimentation infrastructure, and robust internal analytics. - Bias towards action, and good instinct to decide on the appropriate level of rigor/effort for experiments (when to cut corners, when to invest for the future). - Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical colleagues (including marketing, product, design, and data science). Nice to Have's - Experience building consumer subscription or SAAS products. - Prior fintech experience. - Experience with analytics tooling including Segment or Amplitude. - Experience with billing systems.
