Learning Designer – Contract
Stantec
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging, compelling and impactful learning programs for self-paced and virtual deliveries. This may include development of needs assessments, learning objectives, course outlines, instructional approaches, storyboards, and all course content (e.g. self-paced, interactive digital modules, PowerPoint presentations, participant/facilitator guides, videos, knowledge checks and assessments, learning manuals, quick reference guides, and job aids). • Conduct quality assurance testing on all deliverables. Edit documents in accordance with established style guidelines. • Produce virtual sessions in Microsoft Teams or other meeting platforms.
Job Requirements
- Excellent communication skills, including technical and creative writing and editing.
- Bilingualism in English and French would be considered an asset.
- Ability to analyse learning needs and objectives to design training solutions that are fit for purpose.
- Ability to design and develop digital and instructor-led training materials for adult learners.
- Creative mindset.
- Visual design and video editing skills to produce modern and elegant training deliverables.
- Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Vyond, Camtasia).
- Experience with the Web environment (e.g., HTML, Javascript).
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite CS6 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PremierePro).
- Ability to quickly learn new software.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
