• We are looking for a practical, reliable and genuinely customer-focused Home Installation Technician to join Lilli. • This is a field-based role initially covering South East London. • You will travel to customers’ homes to install, set up and occasionally remove Lilli home monitoring equipment, ensuring everything is working correctly. • Our customers are often older or vulnerable individuals. • This role requires more than technical competence — it calls for patience, empathy and a calm, reassuring approach. • You will be welcomed into people’s homes, sometimes at sensitive moments in their lives. • It’s important that you are respectful, professional and able to explain technology clearly and confidently. • This is not just about fitting equipment — it’s about leaving someone feeling safer and more confident in their own home.
Job Requirements
- Install Lilli equipment safely and efficiently in customers’ homes
- Test all hardware and software before leaving site
- Troubleshoot basic connectivity and setup issues
- Configure mobile apps (iOS/Android) for family members
- Pair and provision IoT devices
- Carry out safe mounting (minor drilling and modifications)
- Remove or replace equipment when required
- Log accurate installation notes in HubSpot CRM
- Report incidents promptly and in line with company guidelines
- Manage your daily installation schedule
- Maintain installation stock and equipment
- Share customer feedback with the wider Lilli team
- About You
- Understanding of routers, SSIDs and basic home networking
- Confident installing internet-connected devices
- Practical and hands-on with strong attention to detail
- Clear and reassuring communicator
- Comfortable working independently
- Basic electrical safety awareness

- Experience installing home automation or alarm systems

Role Description This level is intended to perform as an assistant to a Drivetrain Specialist. The Advanced Drivetrain Technician, under specific direction from the Drivetrain Specialist, provides Major Component Repair (“MCR”) services at renewable energy projects, including but not limited to inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs, as needed. The Advanced Drivetrain Technician will be expected to travel for extended periods of time working on EDF power solutions projects as needed. While traveling on behalf of EDF power solutions, this role is expected to always represent our organization and core values. Required Training: Each Renewable Energy Technician will attend mandatory four (4) week training and certification course at the start of their employment. The exact duration will be determined based on experience and qualifications. The training is in Albert Lea, MN, and travel, accommodation, and expenses will be provided. Responsibilities - Assist with MCR specialized services - Assist Drivetrain Specialist with crane calling and rigging procedures & qualifications. - Work independently from time to time while performing all aspects of large corrective repairs and removal and replacement of major components. - Oversee the safe operation of EDFps and contractor employees during the removal & replacement (“R&R”) of major components, and large corrective in-situ repairs of renewable energy assets. - Assist with projects requiring special skills, by acquiring and maintaining skills in certain areas: - R&R of major components. - In-situ repair of major components. - Development of tooling and fixtures to perform large corrective repairs. - Travel to other sites to support MCR work as needed. - Assist with Developing, writing, and training work procedures and control instructions for heavy lift operations with the assistance of Technical Writer. - Assist Drivetrain Specialist with quality control during the removal & replacement (R&R) of major components and large corrective in-situ repairs. - Provide high quality workmanship with the goal of increasing safety, performance, and efficiency. - Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions 80% of the time is in the field with the other 15% doing scheduled training, paperwork, and meetings. An undefined amount of the field work will be performed at EDFps contracted locations which will require travel. Traveling work rotations are generally 5 weeks followed by one week at home. This position must be capable of working independently but generally works with other MCR technicians. This role will be provided a company vehicle for official company use only (service truck) during their assigned shift in which they carry the required tools to perform repairs and/or maintenance. This position may work in extreme weather conditions and abnormal working hours, including nights from time to time. The employee must work within the budget constraints as authorized by the Executive Team, while successfully following all policies and procedures related to employees’ fiscal responsibilities in doing the day-to-day job. Qualifications - Advanced Wind Technician or minimum 1 year wind energy or industrial maintenance experience - High school or equivalent; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Successfully complete applicable safety and technical training program for Advanced Wind Technician. - Able to demonstrate basic computer knowledge. - Able to follow both verbal and written instructions. - Good verbal and written communication skills. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities - Ability to comply with EDF power solutions’s Safety & Quality policies, procedures, and work instructions. - Good oral and written communication skills, including basic functional knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint. - Ability to read & comprehend schematic drawings. - Ability to work at heights, including climbing up and descending towers of various heights. - Demonstrate the ability to work with and provide hands-on training to other technicians. - Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, including cold, rain, wind, etc. - Mechanical, electrical, and controls aptitude as expressed by prior performance of some of the responsibilities described above. - Able to provide proof of a current driver’s license and clean driving record, to operate company vehicles (service trucks) both on site as well as on public roads and highways. • Ensure customer needs are met as the primary regional field service engineer. • Conduct on-site installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of Electron Microscopes (Focused Ion Beam Electron Microscopes, Scanning Electron Microscopes, Transmission Electron Microscopes) • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, providing support to customers and other field service personnel. • Develop positive working relationships with customers and company personnel. • Submit detailed field service reports. • Provide training and mentorship to customers and new field service engineers. • Offer feedback to product quality and sales teams and update system documentation. • Act as a subject matter expert and resource for training.
• Lead on-site installation, repair, calibration, testing, and maintenance of advanced electron microscopy systems, including: Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM) Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems • Diagnose and resolve the most complex mechanical, electronic, vacuum, and software-related system issues across multiple platforms • Serve as a technical escalation point for other field service engineers and lead resolution of critical customer issues • Lead high-visibility customer situations, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining strong customer confidence • Provide formal mentorship, coaching, and technical guidance to field service engineers; support training initiatives • Partner with engineering, product development, applications, and quality teams to drive system improvements and serviceability • Perform and optimize preventive maintenance strategies to improve system reliability and uptime • Build and maintain strategic customer relationships, acting as a trusted technical advisor • Deliver advanced customer training on system operation, maintenance, and best practices • Travel frequently to customer sites, sometimes on short notice, to resolve complex service issues • Maintain accurate and detailed service documentation, and contribute to improving service procedures and knowledge sharing • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and quality standards in laboratory and industrial environments
