Independent Trauma Counsellor
TELUS
• Travel on-site to deliver critical incident response to groups of employees and individuals following a traumatic workplace event • Deliver virtual critical incident response to groups of employees and individuals for the same, where agreed • Manage related administration as required by TELUS Health’s Critical Incident department
Job Requirements
- Counselling qualification to BACP/IACP accreditation level or with equivalent qualifications/experience
- Current membership of a recognised professional body – BACP, IACP, UKCP, HCPC or equivalent
- Training in Psychological First Aid
- Experience of delivering on site trauma support following critical incidents
- Professional indemnity insurance of at least £1,000,000
- Willingness to travel to customer sites
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience is desirable
- Training in trauma focused interventions such as Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and working with PTSD clients is desirable
