Technical Analyst – Java Operations

• Perform a complex range of technical work activities either remotely or at customer site to meet business and customer requirements. • Coordinate small teams delivering basic work packages in line with company process to meet business and customer requirements. • Provide Technical Leadership in own specific area of expertise. • Document and reports on work completed to ensure compliance with Company and Customer Procedures. • Contribute to the development of technical procedures and standards to meet business and customer requirements. • Escalate issues in line with company processes to ensure customer demands are met. • Able to communicate on complex issues to meet business and customer requirements to avoid escalations. • Evaluate escalations and resolve appropriately to ensure customer demands are met. • Provide customer service to internal and external customers to ensure consistent experience
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java Dev /Operations
- Works under general supervision.
- Uses discretion.
- Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to resolving complex problems and assignments.
- Takes initiative in identifying and negotiating appropriate development opportunities.
- Able to define and follow instructions and procedures
- Proven experience in IT Service environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to absorb and apply technical information.
- Uses broad range of information systems, technology functions and applications in line with IT industry standards as appropriate to the role.
- Ideally certified in appropriate technologies to support business strategy.
- Demonstrates an organised approach to work.
- Demonstrates ability to engage and influence on complex issues at all levels both internally and customer facing.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Routine administrative skills

• Develop, test, and maintain applications in .NET and Python, ensuring system efficiency and scalability. • Design and implement cloud solutions using AWS, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others. • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. • Participate in defining system architectures and selecting appropriate technologies for projects. • Implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD, test automation, and application monitoring. • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and code quality.
• Design and develop products or systems in line with asset technical strategy, specified project timescales, quality and functionality requirements as agreed with the Product management. • Define and support appropriate Unit, System and Integration testing on own code and others across the product or system, fixing errors and entering defects into the defect tracking system, highlighting potential implications on other products or systems. • Conduct and participate in peer reviews of code, designs and specifications as requested by Development Lead or Manager. • Prioritize multiple activities and schedule your own time to deliver against agreed objectives. • Provide recommendations and suggestions to Test Leads regarding testing approaches for the product or system. • Review requirements for specifications for coverage, identify areas that require further clarification, and suggest alternative approaches to Product Management, in line with business needs. • Propose, promote, and drive the adoption of new design and development approaches to improve overall quality, reliability, and speed of implementation across projects or own team. • Suggest improvements to standards and procedures across engineering and the wider organization and take ownership for the implementation of elements assigned by the Manager.
