Role Description Under the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for coordinating and ensuring the accuracy of all payroll processing for a multi-jurisdictional global company. The position will also perform a range of accounting and administrative tasks as needed. The role operates in a fast-paced environment and requires a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to meet strict deadlines and adapt quickly. The Payroll Specialist delivers first-class customer service by responding to employee payroll inquiries with efficiency and accuracy. The Target Pay Range for this position is $28-$34 Hourly. At Antech, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, education, training and budget. - Process payroll across multiple pay schedules, including maintaining related records, preparing accounting transactions, providing audit support, and generating reports. - Review and audit payroll records and reports prior to payroll transmission. - Issue and record pay adjustments to employees. - Maintain payroll files for the department, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. - Serve as a key participant in system implementations, including testing and project activities. - Track, resolve, and respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner via ServiceNow. - Escalate complex issues to the Payroll Manager as appropriate. - Assist the Payroll Manager as needed and serve as department backup. - Navigate the Workday system to input changes, process payroll cycles, and generate reports. - Serve as a system administrator for Legion. - Respond to emails promptly and accurately, including questions regarding payroll policy. - Partner closely with other departments and business units on payroll processes and cross-functional initiatives. - Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of the role. - Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of Accounting and/or Payroll experience required. - Experience with multi-state payrolls preferred. - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred. - Previous Workday and Legion software experience preferred. Requirements - Working knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and applicable multi-jurisdictional regulations. - Proficient in Workday and Legion; experience with ServiceNow ticketing system a plus. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP), Word, and Outlook. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey payroll policies to associates. - Ability to process high volumes of work accurately under strict deadlines while managing competing priorities. - Self-starter who works independently, takes initiative, and follows through to resolution with minimal supervision. - Sound judgment in problem-solving and escalating issues appropriately. - Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and business units while maintaining strict confidentiality. Working Conditions - The associate is regularly required to apply manual dexterity, including hand/wrist flexibility, for computer keyboarding. - The associate frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. - The associate is frequently required to hear and speak in order to use the telephone, make presentations and communicate with people in an office or virtual environment. - The associate is occasionally required to sit and stoop, bend, kneel, or crouch. - The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. - The associate will primarily work in a typical office environment or a remote home office. - The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. - The associate will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, data base management, email, video conferencing and the Internet. - The associate is frequently required to use a calculator; fax, copy machine, and phone system. - The associate must occasionally use media equipment such as an overhead projector, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams. - Environment where pets are present.
