Role Description Join the Gaco team, a trusted name in building envelope solutions with a heritage dating back to 1955. We’re seeking a Gaco Distribution Manager who’s ready to be part of a company committed to formulating everyday success for every customer through innovative, reliable products used to adhere, seal, and protect at every level of the building envelope. Gaco, a division of Holcim Building Envelope, manufactures the highest quality roofing, decking and waterproofing products in the industry. We ensure our channel partners are the leaders in sales and education to those markets they service. Our service covers training, application, and a high level of support to our customers. This is a skilled sales position for a confident, highly motivated individual. The Distribution Manager must be self-disciplined to work independently in an assigned territory to grow fluid-applied coatings to the commercial roofing, decking and waterproofing markets and meet Region and Division sales objectives. The Distribution Manager is responsible for: - Keeping both the 2 step Distributors and 1 step Dealers stocked with the appropriate Gaco inventory. - Conducting training for both outside sales and inside sales on how to sell the product to their customer base. - Working closely with the Regional Managers and Area Managers in all assigned markets. - Focusing on National Accounts, Buying Groups, Distribution National Accounts and Regional Accounts to grow Gaco Market Share. Qualifications - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - 3-5 years sales experience (Distribution, Coatings, Building Materials experience preferred). - Proven solution-based sales background (cold call prospecting, maintaining & solidifying relationships, increasing sales/margins). - Strong understanding of 1 Step & 2 Step Distribution. - Strong group presentation skills. - Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Basic math skills (Calculating discounts, forecasting inventory levels). Requirements - Build executable and trackable business plan with KPI’s. - Sales Calls to both 1 Step and 2 Step Distributors. - Product and Sales Training for each customer type. - Educate on appropriate stocking levels. - Identify underperforming Distributors/Dealers and create business plan to improve. - Represent Gaco at local and regional trade shows. - Meet or exceed territory sales & profit targets. - Report activities and successes on a weekly basis. - Create a sustainable annual business plan for 1 and 2 step distributors in each market area. - Train and educate new additional sales employees when they are hired. - Build relationships between AMs to Dealers and their contractors. - Regular email blasts on new products, new application methods, and new promotions. - Unite dealers and contractors with our Waterproofing Products division. - Mine Dodge project opportunities and share with AM’s. - Contact all Dodge AIA contacts to invite them to our AIA/CES learning unit program. - Refer to GRM and Power Bi on a regular basis to keep track of sales, budgets, invoices, and leads reporting. - Get creative with dealers and contractors in supporting projects. - Spend more time with Key Active Stocking Dealers and Contractors.
