• Operating LIDAR scanning technology and reality capture survey tools (Leica scanner, etc.) to gather precise visual and dimensional data of as-built buildings. • Registering laser scan point clouds and creating accurate existing condition drawings in REVIT. • Documenting key building systems, from electrical and mechanical to HVAC and plumbing. • Preparing clear reports, photo documentation, and quality-checking drawings. • Supporting field and office teams, helping identify the best methods to capture site data. • Ensuring safety protocols are followed to protect yourself, the team, and client properties. • Travel 60-80% nationally, with the ability to lift extension ladders, and completing administrative tasks like timesheets and expense reports. • Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree (or working toward one) in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Internship, coursework, or up to 2 years of experience creating building drawings and construction layouts using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Interest in technology like 3D scanning, BIM, or drones (experience is a plus, not required)
- Knowledge of point cloud data and workflow using Recap, and or Cyclone software.
- Knowledge of commercial building design standards, building methods, details, and materials
- Knowledge of ADA standards preferred.
- FAA Part 107 License preferred.
- Proficient in computers, scanners, photogrammetry, mobile technology, Microsoft Office applications, video conferencing and cloud storage systems.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly independent and strong attention to detail; must be able to work under deadlines.
- Experience demonstrating professional customer service interactions.
- Valid drivers license and insurance (or insurable if renting a vehicle), and must be able to rent a car.
