Role Description IEM is looking for a Full Time Financial Analyst who supports IEM's internal corporate financial operations including: - Budgeting - Forecasting - Indirect rate analysis - Corporate reporting - Internal cost allocation - Financial controls - Compliance The analyst ensures accurate financial data for leadership decision-making and maintains the financial integrity of the firm’s internal operations supporting emergency-management programs. Primary Location: Live anywhere within the United States. Work will take place from a personal location and will depend on the need of the project. Travel Requirements: This position may require travel to complete work assignments or attend meetings. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a field such as Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related. - Two to Five (2 – 5) years of corporate financial analysis or accounting experience including One to Two (1 – 2) years in public accounting. - An additional 2 years of relevant financial analyst experience can be considered in lieu of the degree. - Strong analytical skills; able to interpret and translate financial results. - Intermediate modeling and forecasting proficiency. - Ability to communicate findings to non-financial stakeholders. Requirements - Develop portions of corporate budgets and multi-period financial forecasts. - Analyze departmental spending, financial performance, and internal cost allocations across business units and support functions. - Identify drivers of financial variances and recommend corrective actions. - Perform monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. - Analyze overhead, indirect rates, and shared service costs (G&A, fringe, corporate allocations). - Prepare internal management reports, dashboards, and financial summaries for business and functional leaders. - Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and financial explanations. - Maintain accurate financial data in enterprise systems; collaborate with accounting and operational teams. - Ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and applicable federal cost. - Assist in improving financial workflows, controls, and reporting tools. Role Description The Sr. Quality Control (QC) Analyst is responsible for evaluating loan quality throughout the mortgage loan process across all channels and product types. This role performs detailed pre- and post-closing loan reviews to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as investor, insurer, and agency requirements. - Conduct advanced pre- and post-closing quality control reviews for conventional, government, non-QM, and business-purpose loan products, with emphasis on complex underwriting transactions. - Independently review and analyze loan files, including applications, credit reports, underwriting decisions, income and asset documentation, disclosures, appraisals, title policies, and related documentation. - Verify income calculations, loan-to-value (LTV), and debt-to-income (DTI) ratios. - Analyze QA/QC data and quality metrics to identify trends, defects, and risk areas. - Select, manage, and execute targeted QA/QC audit selections. - Manage Internal Watch List and Exclusionary Lists. - Maintain and manage all audit documentation, including checklists, scorecards, trackers, and reports. - Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports to senior management. - Select loan files for QA/QC vendor review, submit files to vendors, and monitor performance and turnaround times. - Perform QA/QC reviews of third-party vendor work and calibrate findings and feedback. - Review third-party vendor audit reports, reconcile discrepancies, and implement corrective action plans. - Oversight of Pre-Doc QC Process, Checklists, Calibration, Training, Staff, and Data integrity. - Perform early payment default audits, component testing, servicing QC, special investigations, and high-risk or red-flag audits as assigned. - Ensure production compliance with company policies, agency requirements, TRID, state and federal regulations, and insurer/guarantor guidelines. - Identify potential eligibility concerns or red flags and escalate suspected misrepresentation to Fraud Management. - Provide training and ongoing support to QA, QC, and operations staff. - Perform administrative and database management duties as needed. - Maintain subject matter expertise in mortgage regulations, agency guidelines, and loan program requirements. - Complete additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications - Minimum of 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred. - Required experience with Conventional, FHA, and VA loan products. - Strong knowledge of federal regulations and applicable state laws. - Ability to interpret and apply policies, programs, and guidelines accurately. - Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and written and verbal communication abilities. - Prior QC/QA experience preferred.
