Job Description
Brand & Communications Manager
Augment
• Public Relations. You'll own Augment's public relations strategy end-to-end—building and managing relationships with trade and business press, pitching and placing stories that drive category awareness, and positioning Augment's leadership as authoritative voices in logistics and AI. • Content Marketing. You'll build and execute a content program that educates, influences, and converts—from long-form thought leadership to blog posts, newsletters, and video. You'll collaborate closely with Product Marketing to ensure content is grounded in real customer outcomes and aligned with our GTM priorities. • Social Media. You'll own Augment's organic social presence across all relevant channels, setting strategy, managing editorial calendars, and ensuring our voice is consistent, compelling, and current. You'll enable our executives and employees to build the Augment brand via their personal brand. • Brand Marketing and Advertising. You'll help steward Augment's visual brand identity and drive awareness through paid and sponsorship channels. You'll partner with design and external agencies to develop campaigns that build recognition in the logistics market, and you'll define the metrics that demonstrate brand equity growth over time. • Internal Communications and Employer Brand. You'll partner closely with the Talent team to ensure Augment's employer brand and internal narrative are as sharp as our external one. From company all-hands decks and internal announcements to culture storytelling, you'll make sure employees feel connected to the mission and equipped to represent the brand authentically. As Augment scales, you'll work with Talent to build a consistent voice across recruiting channels, so the story we tell the world and the story we tell prospective hires are one and the same.
Job Requirements
- Journalism or PR-First Background. You've spent at least 6+ years building your career in PR, communications, or journalism, ideally with experience in logistics, freight, or supply chain technology. Direct experience in complex B2B technology environments is a must. You know how newsrooms think, what audiences pay attention to, and how to get a story placed or consumed.
- Exceptional Writer and Communicator. Your writing is clear, vivid, and tailored to your target audience. Whether crafting a press release, a LinkedIn post, an executive op-ed, or a brand campaign brief, your words earn attention. Your verbal communication skills are equally sharp—you can pitch, present, and persuade.
- Deep Understanding of AI and Modern Communications Channels. You have a sophisticated, up-to-date view of how earned, owned, and paid channels work and how they're evolving. AI tools are already essential to your work, from basic research all the way through to execution, and automating the repetitive parts of your job. You understand the interplay between media relations, social, content, and advertising—and you know how to build an integrated presence that compounds over time.
- Industry Fluency. You’ve proven you can get up to speed quickly in the language of complex B2B industries. You can engage credibly with industry insiders and make complex topics accessible to broader audiences without losing nuance. Bonus if you are already conversant in supply chain and logistics.
- Editor-In-Chief Mentality. You're motivated by building—not just executing. You hold yourself to a high bar, move with urgency, and take accountability for results. You're comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving environment where the playbook is still being written. Above all, you are ruthlessly protective of our audience’s attention and have a very high bar for every message, asset, and campaign we put into the market.
