Description Work arrangement : Remote: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Mountain View, CA you are expected to report to that location three times per week, at minimum. The Role The Vehicle Experiences Engine software team is a dynamic and fast paced team that designs, develops, and maintains the embedded software platform for Infotainment and Software Defined Vehicle. We are looking for a seasoned technical leader with a broad range of experiences with embedded Android platform who can guide development teams and product engineering by bridging the gap between technical and business goals, overseeing architecture and innovation, and mentoring team members. What you'll do: - Define the Android platform engineering strategy for the GM Infotainment system and provide technical direction and guidance for engineering execution. - Lead technical solutions for critical Android platform features/issues and drive the execution across internal and external teams. - Challenge current implementations, seek optimization opportunities, and foster innovation to improve efficiency in Android platform engineering. - Enhance software design and improve system performance. Analyze and resolve performance issues, memory leak and deadlocks issues. - Ensure the designed solutions conform to architectural requirements such as scalability, maintainability, reliability, extensibility, usability, and security. - Work with and bridge across multiple disciplines, including Engineering, Product teams, Program teams, and Information Technology, to make appropriate system level design trades. - Create and communicate vision & strategies specific to functional responsibilities. This includes preparing and giving presentations to senior and executive management. - Stays updated on new technology and competitive products to support product engineering decisions. - Mentor and provide technical guidance to senior and junior engineers. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) - Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or work equivalent experience - 10+ years of experience in Embedded software development and SDLC process. - 5 years of experience in software development with Android AOSP or AAOS stacks, including Android framework layers and system components. - Product engineering experience with Embedded systems, Android, Linux, QNX or other RTOS systems - Fundamentals of SoC architecture and key components, including CPU, GPU, NPU, memory, I/O interfaces, and how they affect software systems and solutions - Hands-on experience and knowledge in Java, C++, C, operating systems, build and runtime environments. - Experience in the development of automotive-related infotainment solutions, Inter ECU communications, and stringent timing requirements is a big plus. - Quality consciousness and the ability to navigate obstacles while finding effective solutions quickly. - Very effective interpersonal and leadership skills. - Superb written and verbal technical communication skills, excellent ability to incorporate other engineer's ideas and explain their own. Compensation : The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of the California Bay Area. - The salary range for this role is ($238,700 - $302,200). The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position. - Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance. Role Description A Mobile Inspector functions as a member of the Manheim mobile inspections team for a designated region with the primary responsibility of conducting vehicle condition inspections on a client’s lot. Their core skill is to provide accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition within the parameters of a Manheim inspection. This position will build trust with Clients, engage to help them see the value in the Manheim Marketplace, and to request more inventory to be inspected by providing quality and timely inspections. As a Mobile Inspector, it is expected to perform tasks with minimal guidance and supervision, while demonstrating growing independence and problem-solving skills. Primary Duties & Key Responsibilities - Conduct a thorough vehicle inspection. - Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer/clients’ lot safely. - Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information into the inspection system to correct VIN, mileage, and sub series. - Inspect vehicle equipment and options, documenting results including damage, missing or inoperable items. - Inspect and record vehicle exterior condition, including but not limited to tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical components. - Inspect and record the vehicle interior condition, including but not limited to seats, dashboard, and options. - Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles including powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components. - Prepare and provide daily activity reports for management. - Be able to pivot and adapt to changes in daily appointments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of each dealer visit. - Develop strong knowledge of clients in territory and work together with partners to keep them active with Manheim mobile inspections through regular, pro-active on lot engagement. - Receive data and insight from partners and leverage to maximize volume of units inspected on dealer lots. - Represent Cox Automotive as a brand ambassador and provide premier client experience by interfacing regularly with core clients and ensuring satisfaction. - Functions as a solid team player and works closely with the Wholesale Specialist team, peers, other Manheim workgroups and auctions. - Utilize SalesForce.com for reporting, lead input and customer performance reviews. - Understanding NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy. - Will work in a continuous improvement/Lean environment and encouraged to drive a lean culture. - Maintain production expectations set by the leader. - Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
