Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks using GitLab, Terraform, and related DevOps tools - Develop and manage cloud-native infrastructure in AWS (EKS, EC2, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.), ensuring high availability and performance - Implement and enforce DevSecOps best practices, integrating security controls (vulnerability scanning, encryption, compliance) throughout the software lifecycle - Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in production environments - Collaborate with software, systems, and security engineers to integrate APIs, services, and mission systems across distributed architectures - Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and ArgoCD - Monitor system performance and reliability using observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk) and implement proactive improvements - Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for complex system and application issues - Apply Scaled Agile (SAFe) practices to support iterative development, integration, and delivery across program increments - Drive adoption of automation and AI-enabled tools to improve engineering efficiency, reduce manual effort, and accelerate delivery timelines - Contribute to technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and knowledge sharing across teams - Support deployment and integration efforts across Enterprise, Ground Segment (GS), and GMI environments, including mission-critical infrastructure (e.g., SUPERNOVA, NOVA, GEP) Qualifications - U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law - Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or related STEM field - Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance - 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience - Agile/SAFe experience preferred - Work performed across Enterprise, Ground Segment (GS), and GMI environments supporting space and ground systems (SUPERNOVA, NOVA, GEP, and related infrastructure) - Programming: Python, Java, and scripting in Linux/UNIX environments (YAML, JSON) - DevOps & Automation: CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management - Cloud Computing: AWS (Solutions Architect preferred) – EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, EBS/EFS, VPC, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail; Azure experience a plus - Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes - API Development: Design, testing, integration, and lifecycle management - Security & Compliance: Risk management, vulnerability scanning, encryption/PKI, incident response, auditing, monitoring - Agile Methodologies: Scaled Agile (SAFe) principles and best practices - Artificial Intelligence: Prompt engineering and use of AI tools to improve development efficiency Requirements - Applicants selected for employment will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation, which may include education, criminal, and work history verifications.
