HPC Engineer, Services
Rescale
• Become an expert in the Rescale platform and its application to customer workflows. • Deliver deep technological solutions and support related to some of Rescale’s most powerful features. • Publish, manage and optimize complex HPC software for our most demanding customers. • Develop and implement processes and best practices associated with HPC services and support. • Advocate customer needs internally and working collaboratively with the sales, product and engineering teams to achieve customer success goals and contribute to overall company objectives. • Actively work with the customer support team to ensure customer value realization is improved through every interaction to drive increased customer satisfaction and retention. • Identify opportunities for increased productivity through automation and tools and implement these solutions. • Design and improve processes to drive customer satisfaction by consistently meeting or exceeding commitments to customers and improving quality of deliverables. • Provide technical support to our customers, independent software vendors and strategic partners. • Solve various problems related to the software customers are running on Rescale, requiring a high level of knowledge of the software and an in-depth knowledge of the environment the software runs in. • Maintain the software available on Rescale, including installing and benchmarking the software, and optimizing the software’s performance for the environment it runs in.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years experience with HPC Systems and HPC Applications
- Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows operating system environments
- Experience with scripting languages like Bash and Python
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
- High-level knowledge of HPC, schedulers, MPI, containers, kubernetes, and GPU computing
- Familiarity with scientific computing libraries and tools like OpenMP and CUDA
- Experience applying AI-assisted workflows as part of the software development lifecycle — using AI agents, code generation, and automation as multipliers for engineering velocity and quality
- General knowledge in at least one CAE discipline (CFD, FEA, EDA, ML/AI, Molecular Dynamics, Weather Forecasting, Optics, etc.)
- Experience working with diverse stakeholders across IT, engineering, and R&D
- A self-starter with a proven track record of driving project success and aligning in complex cross-team environments
- Technical aptitude to deeply understand the product and platform experience and customer journey within the high-performance computing and enterprise PaaS environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with colleagues and cross-functional teams and third parties
- BS/BA degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

Role Description As a member of Recogni’s ASIC team, you will be responsible for the pre-silicon correctness and quality of a high-performance and low-power convolutional neural network accelerator ASIC that forms the core of the company’s flagship perception module product for autonomous driving applications. This ASIC’s design closely couples novel computational accelerator units with 3rd-party SoC IP blocks to form an end-to-end vision perception module that achieves record-breaking computational performance at low power. - Ensure the pre-silicon correctness and quality of a multi-million gate ASIC that integrates computational accelerators and 3rd-party SoC IP blocks. - SoC/Subsystem verification of embedded CPUs such as ARM/RISC-V and interconnect subsystem (including C and assembly diag validation). - Develop the block-level, sub-system and full-chip verification environment and tests to implement test plans. - Work closely with design and architecture teams to understand the functional and performance goals of the design; and work together to make the design-under-test work under all specified circumstances. - Triage and debug functional and performance issues with the design-under-test. - Handle bug tracking and coverage convergence. - Perform diagnostic and post-silicon validation tests in the lab. Qualifications - 2+ years of ASIC verification experience. - Knowledge of ARM/MIPS/RISC-V Architecture. - Familiarity with AMBA/APB/AXI Protocol. - Familiarity with processor peripheral interfaces like SPI, eMMC, *MII, GPIO, I2C. - Excellent Verilog/System Verilog programming skills. - Experience with UVM (or similar). - Deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles, constrained random stimulus, and a coverage-driven verification approach. - Scripting experience (Python, Perl, TCL, shell programming) highly-desirable. - Interest to explore AI architectures for convolution, transformer and other kinds of workloads. - Self-starter and highly-motivated to work in a dynamic start-up environment. - B.S.
