Role Description We are looking for a UX/UI and web design intern to help improve the PatternGeeks website and digital presence. This role is ideal for someone interested in design, websites, health technology, and startups. You will help make our website clearer, more professional, and easier for patients, families, advisors, partners, and potential supporters to understand. - Review the existing PatternGeeks website and suggest improvements to layout, navigation, messaging, and user experience. - Create wireframes, mockups, and design concepts for updated website pages. - Improve the visual design of the website, including typography, spacing, colors, icons, images, and page structure. - Help update and maintain website pages using website builders, design tools, or front-end technologies. - Make sure the website works well on desktop, tablet, and mobile. - Help organize website content so visitors can quickly understand the problem, the product, and the company mission. - Support the design of related digital materials, such as landing pages, campaign pages, graphics, or simple product visuals. - Collaborate with the founder/team to turn feedback into design and website updates. Qualifications - Interest in UX/UI design, web design, front-end development, product design, or a related field. - Experience with tools such as Figma, Canva, Webflow, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, or similar platforms. - Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or modern website builders is a plus. - Good visual design sense and attention to detail. - Ability to organize information clearly and make complex scientific or health-related topics easier to understand. - Strong communication skills and willingness to take feedback. - Portfolio, class project, personal website, or sample design work preferred, but not required. Requirements - Interest in health technology, neuroscience, epilepsy, wearable devices, medical devices, startups, or AI. - Experience designing landing pages, startup websites, Kickstarter pages, or product pages. - Familiarity with accessibility best practices. - Basic knowledge of SEO, analytics, or website performance.
