• help define and execute our roadmap for agentic systems and intelligence infrastructure • work directly with our team to design, prototype, and productionize systems that orchestrate agents and manage the knowledge, context, and intelligence gathering that inform our clients • collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful outcomes
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience designing, building, and maintaining production-grade intelligent systems and distributed platform infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience building AI-powered products, including LLM-based multi-agent workflows, retrieval pipelines, and knowledge-driven applications.
- Strong foundational knowledge of core AI concepts, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), automated evaluations, prompt engineering, and agentic reasoning frameworks.
- Experience building scalable, high-performance data and application pipelines that support the reliable and secure execution of resource-intensive AI workflows.
- Experience with multi-tenant system design, with a focus on implementing secure data practices and proper segmentation when building or interacting with AI workflows.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and real-time communication protocols, including building robust streaming pipelines (SSE) for AI-driven user experiences.

The Software Development Engineer I is a full-time role within Mastercard Launch, a cohort based, graduate development program designed to build the skills you'll leverage most as an innovator in the payments space.
