The Role: As a QC Lab Analyst, you will help drive our goals by: - Responsible for prioritizing the work of Lab Analyst on shift. - Responsible for maintaining the lab’s sample retain and product sample inventories and coordinating these with the R&D Labs - Administers the lab’s current and expanded Raw Material Check Programs and compiles and distributes the corresponding summary reports - Provides assistance to the Lab Manager in administration of the lab’s Product QC and Shipment Verification programs - Maintains standards and solution for lab instrumentation - Oversees COP Inventory Sampling and Testing requirements - Oversees staple item inventory to assure ample supply is available - Maintains 5S and lab housekeeping in order to assure a safe and clean working environment - Assists the QC Manager in troubleshooting and identifying the source of problems in process and analytical irregularities - Oversees special projects and analytical applications - Assists the QC Manager in administration of the various and general laboratory quality control programs - Outside regular business hours, partners with Plant Foreman and Plant Lead to investigate Plant Quality issues - Performs all of the functions of a Lab Analyst when needed - May perform other related assignments as determined by supervision Key skills that will help you succeed in this role: - BS in Chemistry or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience - Minimum 1 year of analytical lab experience (Professional or Academic) - Self-motivated individual with good time management skills - Excellent IT literacy skills, both instrumental and PC-based programs (Microsoft Office) - Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communications skills - Demonstrated competency in wet bench and instrumental analytical techniques - Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to use statistical analysis as a problem-solving technique This position is on a 12 Hour rotating shift schedule.
